invisbile character and game crash
When i start the first mission i am a crossbow on the ground, i can shoot, jump and put traps but i can't move and when i unleash the horde the game shuts down without any message box
My specs are:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU
E7500 @ 2.93GHz
2.93 GHz, 3.24 GB of RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB
Yes my second core was disabled thank you for pointing out the problem the game is running perfectly now.
Crash and Error on Start
Hi I bought this game last week during the sale but it won't run at all. It looks like it attempts to start and my mouse turns into a sword for a second but then it crashes back to the desktop. I've tried validating the game files and completely re-installing the game 4 time!!!! but nothing seems to help.
I have the same problem, and i need help with turning on my second core!!

While the game is running, hit ctrl+alt+delete and hit Task Manager. Once task manager is open, select OMD from the list of applications, right-click on it and select Set Affinity. Then make sure All Processors is selected.
The AMD Athlon 64 is a single core processors and does not meet our minimum system requirements.
Damn, i though i had dual core, i was told that i had.
So u mean that i can play Amnesia the dark descent and portal 2 and games like that with full grapfihcs but not omd.... lol
Those games have different minimum system requirements than Orcs Must DIe!, and you might meet theirs but not OMD's.

It's all about resoureces. We use the second core to process all of the animations in the game (hero and dozens and dozens of enemies at any given time). Without the second core, the game can't run the animation system.
I have bought an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, since i wanted so badly to play this game ;D

So its was *** worth it!
But i have another problem that have nothing to do with this game, but ive got the same problem for years now, ive got a process called ping.exe, that is taking all my resources... What should i do about it...
That is making all my games laggy, because they dont get enough resources, and it is also making my cpu VERY hot, its 52 c when im in googe chrome, and 66 when playing, and some times my computer just turns it self off...
I think ping.exe is a virus sir.

Yeah, ive tried to remove it with my Avota free antivirus and spybot but no one finds it...
I will looks and see what people have used to remove it and I will message it to you when I find it.

When you're running the game could you open up task manager and see if perhaps it's set to only be allowed to run on a single core? Also, what OS are you using?
