Wraith 2.0
I have to say, the new wraith certainly feels a lot better to use! It also helps a lot against TF - with just a helm, you can often force a jar.
On topic, the new DE are 11-19 so far when going first (counting DE - DE).
It just feels OP when an uber wraith beats you single handidly.
Too soon.
Sometimes sports teams that start with records like 11-19 come together, figure it out or start to get luckier. For the most part though, they turn out to be like the Kansas City Royals, or the Washington Wizards and they just stink. Its too early to say anything with certainty, to fire a coach or to blame Robot for missing the mark. Its not too early to start forming beliefs. Provided you dont bet your life, fortune or anything particularly important on them.
Sure, but sports teams also don't begin their season with games that actually started at the end of the previous one...

Not so fast, Dr. Trip. I haven't seen it, but this synopsis of Friday Night Lights Season 3 suggests that new seasons can in fact begin with games that actually started at the end of the previous season: "The season began with Coach Taylor having failed to lead the Panthers to another State championship the year before[.]" [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_Night_Lights_(TV_series)#Season_Three]

I stand corrected.
Since the beginning of the game we've wanted the Wraith to be more usable against players who were good enough to know what was coming (it has always been and will remain a monster in beginner matches). Now that we have it, I think the question isn't whether it should be reverted, but whether Council might actually be in line for a buff after all.
I have always liked the wraith the way it was but no one ever listens to wise ole ninja x 007. No, they would rather make the dark elves too powerful so it can play in higher lvl gameplay. And now you see what happens for 'higher lvl gameplay' things mess up. Anyway i would agree for a buff for council just like you said, then newcomers dont feel like every other team is 5x better than there team. (even though they aren't) here's a NEW IDEA what if the wraith can consume phantoms. That would bring a whole different perspective to the dark elves. Also what if a phantom can also eat corpses, then the phantom will have +2 to the wraith. Does that sound good or to op?
I think its too early to see if they're OP, and I seriously doubt if they are. DE had a glaring physical weakness and this might have made up for it (even if I don't like the flatened growth line).
As to the matter of council needing a buff, maybe. I'm still concerned that Dwarves are too OP to be fun to play against.
teams that were able to kill the wraith with ease before (jarate, drill, etc.) will still be able to kill it
I don't think it's OP as it stands mainly because of the investment it needs the fact that it's supposed to be a superunit and that everyone and their cousins will not let it be the monster it could be if all the things aligned properly.
this is a small buff to help a team that is not doing so good on league play.
