Will we ever be able to buy the TF2 ...
Or will the only way to ever get it be by purchasing the $4.99 game on steam?
Thanks!
We don't have any plans to release the TF2 team to be purchased independently of the core game on Steam.
Kind of a downer for those of us that would like to play as the team, but frankly couldn't care less about all the fluff that goes with buying the steam version. Oh well, this game is getting old anyway.

I wouldnt reccomend getting the game on steam, i did while on discount the gold pack as it cost around about the same as buying everything on IOS
the pc version has very little love, it costs 30% of my cpu constaly which is kinda stupid outta game and constanly crashes for me, its concept is a nice idea though
as for the tf2 team there not any more effective than the next team, they have there disavantages and advantages
its just a bonus to buy the game on steam, if you dont want it dont buy it
I decided to buy it, and am glad that I did. I'm still getting used to the team, but they are quickly becoming my new favorite. So many options available.
I would buy it if it was available on Mac. Just for TF2, I would never play on it, unless it was faster: Staring at "Loading..." is my single biggest frustration with HA.

It is 200% faster in PC. :D

But requires 600% more processing power :P
i still like the game but I'll stick to the iPhone me thinks even with some loading times.
Theres nothing inherley wrong with the pc version but it needs lots of little tweaks
I think we can all agree both versions need some perf work. The iOS version takes way too long to load for something that you want to be able to pop in and out of frequently. The PC version should not turn my laptop into a space heater the whole time it's running.

You playing on iPhone 5? I recently discovered it's lightning fast on iPhone 5. :)
Fourth gen iPod Touch. Not the latest and greatest, but not exactly old and busted either.
After a (very) brief test, I found that the iPhone 5 can go from splash screen to game list in 3 seconds. The game was already activated in the multitasking bar... I think I need to document load times on different devices with different circumstances. :)

Does that include "Logging in..." and refreshing the game list?
For me it depends if it is wifi or cell, but both are way longer than that on an iPhone 4.
Hopefully I won't get coal for Christmas. Again.
I never realised how slow it was when you weren't playing on an ipad

I just launched it now on my fourth gen iPod Touch.
Clicking the game icon to arrival at main screen: 9 seconds
Main screen to logging in complete: 8 seconds
Clicking play -> game list: 2 seconds
Game list refresh: 2 seconds
Loading game: 15 seconds
So...36 seconds from clicking the game icon to actually playing.
That isn't too bad... I too play on iPod 4th gen and its ok, but I will probably buy it on steam!
Just wait for a steam sale and get the team and the fluff for $2.49 if you're unwilling to pay the full amount.

It's not the worst thing ever, no, but it would be far more enjoyable if it was faster. Just for comparison, Letterpress launches all the way to playable in four seconds flat from a cold start. Granted, it's far less graphically intense, but that's the kind of responsiveness you want to aim for in a quick in-and-out turn based game.

Good question! I'm guessing only Steam...
