Weird launch?
So, I was given OMD2 this christmas. I have tried to actually play 3 or 4 times and have not been able to. I have re-installed it a couple times hoping that that was the problem but it wasn't.
When I launch the game I can hear the sound but then my screen goes black and says no signal input. However I know the game is launching because I can hear all the music in the background. Not sure what to do.
Help?
My graphic drivers are up to date.
The files will not validate.
And now I can. 1 Item failed to validate and will be reaquired?
Is it my graphics card? ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series.
I have the same exact problem, other games work as intended
Currently using an Nvidia GT550M, Asus U31SD-AH31
I'd also like to note that my Shiner folder in Documents only has the profiles.xml and I cannot edit the needed file to open this in window mode.

I had this problem until today, for the past two months, and Zeo1 (Wally) emailed me a file for opening the game in windowed mode. The file is called VideoSettings.xml and is placed in your Shiner folder. It contained this:

<Borderless>0</Borderless>
<LowDetail>0</LowDetail>
<VSync>0</VSync>

I had this problem with Diablo III and I believe the game just can't run at my resolution which is 1366x768 in fullscreen mode. Windowed mode works.
This file has solved my problem.
If anyone else wants to try this, you don't need us to email you a file. You can just create a text file in the Shiner folder with this info inside of it and name it videosettings.xml
Let's start with the simplest solutions for weird behavior like this - are all of your graphics drivers up to date? Have you done a Steam file cache verification to make sure it didn't miss downloading anything?
