User Rankings.
I have been on Bungie.net for about two years, I love their user ranking sytem. I would like to see this feature added on here, but thats just my opinion anyone else feel the same way (or not).
Here's a link if you don't know the user ranking system on Bungie.net. http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=15804986.
Well it's also based on post counts too.
When we do impliment something, it will ideally be based on a combination of time, post count, and quality of posts.
The ranking feature on Bungie.net is ok. It is a time based ranking system(the longer you are active on the site the higher the rank you are) which has its ups and downs.
would you mind changing your avatar? thanks : )

So you are going to bring a feature like Bungie.net's ranking system to Robot Entertainment?

Q(A)+.5D=R
Quality of posts times amount plus time active on forums (in days) divided by two = Rank?
Quality is determined by moderators on a scale of one to 100, with 100 being the highest, A = Amount of posts, thus showing how many posts that they've made of that quality, then the time they've been active is halved because if someone who's been posting for a month but has WONDERFUL posts, they deserve a higher rank.
Agreed?

That's one of the worst ideas I've ever seen.

At least I've suggested something.
You seriously need to grow up.

i didnt know you owned this avatar, my bad. btw im not changing it.
i dont own it, but its a lot less confusing for people if there arent duplicate avatars, especially of frequent posters.

well look at the two people above my last post, they have the same avatar and they are asking each other to change it so i dont think it matters if people have the same avatar. if you feel different then feel free to change your avatar.

Awesomesauce (:
I like the bungie.net ranking system. But it can be a bit harsh.. (I posted in a thread that was locked a few minutes after, and lost my title)

Just because my seventh grade algebra is too hard for you...

How do you go about creating a formula to determine the quality of one's post?
And hey Space fire, what's up?
Darkstar, see my previous post.

Not much, your from the Halo Wars forums right?
Darkstar, see my previous post.
It's interesting, but I can't really say that I like it. If I understood it correctly, a moderator still has rank the quality of your individual posts and that just wouldn't be ideal to have 2 mods ranking everyone's posts.
Or do I misunderstand?

Well two mods generalizing all of your posts of a certain quality per user, not per post.
Still a lot of users to rank... Especially once a game gets released, these forums will get flooded.
Well I the tank should be about how the users help each other tbh ;) and with the quality of posts

that seems too subjective and a complete waste of time on the moderator's side as people constantly change in posting quality.
Yeah, rating post quality is too difficult as some people can be complete trolls or very helpful depending on who they are talking to.
post count is about a million times easier :/
What about this... as you guys know RE is very active on the Community ;) a Ranking could work like... we post something and they when see some posts while browsing the website and they find it usefull they could click on something like "Helpfull Post " "unnecessary Post" what you think ?
And under the name of the person would say "Helpfull" something like that after you hit a number of Helpull posts?
the moderators do not read every single post on these forums so will just be assigning these "helpful marks" based on the random sample of posts they happen to see which ruins the credibility of the entire system.
For example someone who posts very negatively but happens to have 10 helpful posts in a thread aloysius reads could get some title even when in reality they are not helpful at all.

Yea... we need to find a solution or stay like this hmm...
or just a rep points system like lots of forums(still display post count)
Space mention the one from Bungie.net ive been there a lot since Halo 3 and i must said the ranking works very well
