Trinket passive question
Hey there fellow orcslayers, i have a few questions:
1. Do the trinket passives work when i just have them loaded in my trap list or do i need to hold them in my hand to make them work?
2. If the trinket passives work while being in my bag, can i stack different trinkets to have passive benefits of multiple trinkets at the same time?
Thanks for info, happy orc bashing.
I was just about to start up a thread about this.
From my experience, here is what i have to say:
1) I am leaning towards "you need to hold the trinket" in order for them to work. For example, the healing trinket wll not heal you unless you are holding it. However, whenever i use the coin trinket, it seems to work so long as it is within my loadout bar. So I'm not 100% sure on this.
EDIT: I was mistaken. Healing trinket does work even if you are not holding it. I guess al trinket passives work so long as they are in your loadout.
2) I don't think so. I mean from a balance perspective, do you really want players to have passive healing, more coin drops, faster trap resets, more mana and more all at once?

Well, they do take up loudout slots. If you take all of those things, you're not leaving yourself with very much else.
I would say yes they should be always on passives. In most cases you can't sit back and hold a trinket because you've got to be constantly dealing damage. In addition the benefits they offer are relitively minor in comparison to the loss of a trap in terms of usefulness and score. Trap reset might be a bit powerful but chance of coin drop of 10g is pretty minor, healing bonus is fairly slow, etc. It could also open up some interesting challenges in terms of gameplay if you were to use a lot of trinkets stacked instead of a lot of traps.

Unless I am reading question 2) wrong, the person asked if trinkets in your bag also give benefits. I interpeted "bag" as your spellbook. In that,. so long as you have bought a trinket, it's passive will work even if you haven't equipped it. Of course if he/she ment "bag" as in loadout, then that is a differnet story. Assuming trinket passives do work so long as you don't hold them, then yes, they would stack.
Also, regarding 1)
It just occured to me, that yes the healing trinket does heal you even if you aren't holding it. You just don't get the heal aura effect around your character.
ok let me clarify myself, by in my "bag" i mean being in the bottom bar while actively shooting the orcs with my crossbow.
because i thought that i need to actively hold the trinket in my hands thus de-select my active fighting weapon, to activate its passive, i really disliked them.
however if multiple trinket passives stack while they are in your loadout, then they make a fine choise esp in coop as you can have 1 person cover floor traps, other one walls etc, you can open space in your loadout.
Who knows, do trap reload trinket work only for own set traps or all of them? If for all, do bonus stack in co-op?
All Trinket Passives apply provided they are in your loadout, and only for you not your co-op partner. The only exception is Scavenger, So long as one of your traps added a combo point scavenger applies its passive effect even if the killing blow was dealt by your co-op partner.
All Trinket Active effects apply to both players.
Actually, when a friend and I tested it, we found that the Trap Reset Trinket passive effect applied to both players, but the bonus did NOT stack if both players brought it.

They work if they are on your bar, but you don't need to have them selected.
They do not work if they are in your bag and upgraded.
