Tribes
I am wondering how can I beat tribes, when their healers can heal through gaps, or heal through my units?? Their insane damage is already making them hard to fight against, but to be able to heal through an empty square or heal through my unit is not chain healing imo.

*ahem* Knowledge is power, lets help share some knowedge. ;)
On topic: I recommend read ArtNJ's guides in the "new player" stickied thread. Each team guide has a "how to play vs. X-team" section, so if your playing Dwarves you would look in the Dwarves guide, etc., etc.. Another option is just challenge me to a game and I'll try to help out. :)
Chain Healing may seem daunting, but I find that it's the threat of chain ressurection that hurts more than the threat of chain healing - this is because each additional target gets healed for less. If you KO a unit in the frontlines, the Shaman in the back won't be able to fully heal the unit without the aid of a Runemetal (unlikely), sword tile (perhaps), or a Meat. Thus, if they want to keep their frontline unit(s) alive (which granted, they may not, since the point of the Tribe is that each unit is expendable to some degree), they'll have to bring their Shamans to the front - and that's when they're easy pickings.
AoE is less effective against the Tribe due to Chain Healing, so I'd focus more on burst damage. The exception is when your AoE also manages to damage the Shaman and they only have one out - that'll force them to reposition their troops/dig for another Shaman.
Because Meat only multiplies attack by 2.75 instead of 3 like the Scroll, the Tribe sometimes has trouble nabbing KOs without the aid of Rage (upgraded Void Monks are especially problematic, but even a unit with two defensive upgrades is hard to take down), so exploit this to your advantage. Probably the main thing to be wary of is the Typhoon - make sure that a Typhoon (or in some cases, two Typhoons) won't put you in a dangerous position, such as being swept into the range of Runemetaled Witch on an attack tile, or even just throwing your upgraded heros out of healing range.

Tribe is actually considered average, winning about 50% of their games. I wish they had more AOE and less direct power, but what they have works pretty well, on average, mostly. Its very frustrating when you find youself in a situation where AOE is needed, but of course, Tribe can be incredibly frustating and scary when they are set up right.
Well what I mostly don't understand about tribe is:
1) how their healer can heal through an empty square
2) how they can heal through my units
3) ressurect through empty square or my units
#3 is the worst when they ress. a chieftain through my units when I have him surrounded but not stomped. (enemy chieftain was behind my front lines, but shaman just walked up to front lines and was able to heal him. The targetting shouldn't be allowed and should be similar to attacking (not being able to attack through enemy units)
I understand it's a little confusing, but just think of it this way:
1) The healer's chain has a jump of 2 instead of one. That's just a feature of the shaman chain, so just expect healing chains to jump like that.
2) It's not just the shaman who can do that. ALL healers are unaffected by line of sight.
3) Resurrection behaves in much the same way as healing, at least in terms of what can and cannot be healed. Just think of resurrection as a subcategory of healing.
Part of the game is learning the mechanics of it, so that you can plan for it in the future. Next time you play against Tribe, just keep their mechanics in mind and you'll expect the crazy reviving spinning chieftain of doom.
If you ever want to practice against a modest tribe player, send me an invite :]
