Still No Shaolin??
Yeah. this is getting a tad ridiculous now. In the future, I hope Robot don't announce a team when they are clearly so far from ready from releasing it.
Well It's not uncommon to have some problems inn the beginning on startup. I just wonder if the extra time they're taking will produce a near flawless team with no bugs and good balance.
lol, this isn't the worst release delay I've seen. This March there was an update in another game that took a whole month to come out. The whole first page and part of the second page were "why isn't the update out yet" threads. It was bad.
2 weeks and yall get antsy? Man, I'm glad for your sakes that you don't play MMOs...
Not antsy. Only WoW has made me rage before lol.
I hope it just means they are working on iPhone 5 support in this update as well.
Dude guys it's going to be alright robots doing there best job to release the team.

We are aware of this but thank you =)
theyre not doing iphone 5 support...i wonder how many times they have seen this thread and just think "eh we will just keep them in the dark"
Hopefully they haven't seen the thread and are working hard to release the team.

Seems the servers are down at the moment....hopefully this is a sign that the Shaolin team have been released from their prison :)
the servers are working for me , they go down like once every couple days for me (only for a little while)...Robot is trying to fix the server problem...which is probably the real reason the team isnt out yet...i dnt see why they cnt release the team nd the server update later especially now that its getting ridiculous
Servers aren't down and I doubt we will even see shaolin this week either. I recently checked hero academy twitter page and they are still working on PC stuff and make the servers more stable before they release the new update.
yeah i just checked their twitter..they are really good at ***...they won't outright say "the update is approved" they say "well it's not just the update we need to do server updates and update the PC version"...in other words..."the update is approved we didn't get to finish our stuff in time"...and you had all these people in this thread blaming Apple for taking too long...LIKE I SAID...Apple rarely takes more than a week and a maximum of two weeks... YOU CAN ALL SAY THAT I WAS RIGHT NOW
btw is it sad that i don't even care about the team anymore and that the only reason i post on here is because i think this is such a joke and such terrible information relayed by Robot?

Yeah, you called it. That said, all I was saying was be patient, it wasnt clear when you first raised the issue.
Your right, the communication hasnt been good on this issue. Not the first time either ....*cough*, Android, *cough*. That said, no point getting upset about it, doesnt have anything to do with whether it will be a good update or not.
Technically your wrong lol. Apple hasn't approved the update but we now know it's robots fault. They never outright said it but they made it seem like they were just waiting on apple. I'm sure people wouldn't be as fed up with robot if they had just let us know all the details. Instead they let us wait and hope these past couple of days. I still love robot (except six) and have faith but don't leave us with half-truth answers. By the way my guess is still the 14th even though I know it's not happening.
I've been lurking for a while, but I haven't posted until now.
I just want to say that, although I have no real complaint about Robot taking as long as they need to finish the patch (and update the servers), I find the lack of transparency and communication totally baffling and rude. If they just came out and said "Hey, everyone, we're still shooting for some time in the first couple of weeks of November, but you'll need to be patient because we're encountering some challenges when trying to do X, Y and Z", then I cannot imagine anyone complaining. All that anyone seems to be asking for is (i) a rough and accurate timeline/launch period and (ii) some openness about what is going on. I think it's bonkers that Robot isn't providing even this much. I have no idea what they think they stand to gain by staying so tight-lipped, ignoring direct questions from their paying fans (i.e., the very fans whose word-of-mouth support has made this game relevant), pretending that they've not already blown by the deadline they'd previously made public, and continuing to allow people to think that the hold-up is on Apple's end.
My guess is that they just don't feel like explaining themselves and don't think they have anything to lose by ignoring their supporters. But I suspect that isn't true. Breakdowns in customer service are long-term problems. And I, for one, will now change the tune of my word-of-mouth PR for Robot. A company who is misleads and then is unresponsive to the direct questions of their biggest fans? Yeah... not a company whose products I'm going to spend my time promoting.
It's very uncharacteristic for Robot to be so silent about this. This is the same company who made two whole new costumes just to honour 2 loyal fans in Orcs Must Die! 2. They didn't have to make the new skins, but they did it anyway, just as a thanks. Robot have made changes to HA based on customer feedback and have implemented a lot of stuff into OMD, from co-op to endless to specific trap and trinket suggestions, because the community asked for them. I really don't get why they'd be so silent about this when they're usually so open to the community.

Pretty much this except I'll still put in a good word for robot and their games. Glad you make the same point as me when I say people wouldn't be angry if robot just let us know what's going on and more people need to understand that before flaming me for "bullying" robot.
I am not upset with Robot, but they certainly did do a better job communicating in the past. The Monday Morning Blog updates were nice, and a very reasonable compromise between letting the fans drive you crazy, and the current system of (no offense) seemingly random information releases.
My Wii U theory keeps looking better and better. :)
DJlanglois couldnt have said it better myself ... this thread is almost 5 pages long and we have one response from them

+1
Can someone link to where they said it would be released in early November? I'm having trouble finding where they said this.
At any rate, you guys should really chill out. The update will come when it comes. Go curb stomp some randoms to pass the time.
Yea I never saw anything that said early November, chill out guys it will be here soon.in the meantime send me a game to pass the time :p ubkrandy

I think this is the offending tweet, implying a late October or early November release.
In addition, there was this one, which (I believe) caused many fans to assume that everyone was waiting only on Apple approval (usually a 1-2 week process). This turned out not to be the case.
At this point, though, I find this Tweet from today to be interesting...
EDIT: Of course, if that 2-hour maintenance proves to be nothing more than server repair, HA fans might stop sharpening their blades and start looking for their pitchforks. ;)
yeah that tweet can be interpreted in 2 ways: 1. the update is coming, 2. theyre just trying to sound cool and act nonchalant about moreeee server maintanence/problems ... really hoping its the first
but i highly doubt tmrw is anything besides maintanence...the couple tweets before that dont make it sound like the update is coming anytime soon , and if the update was coming tmrw why wouldnt they just say so? they know how much we are anticipating it

Ah there's a separate Hero Academy twitter feed! I can see why some of you feel misled now. Still, I don't think one communication lapse is any reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater here.

The problem is the baby hasn't even been delivered yet. I'm picturing an 11-month prego robot with a Shaolin sonogram. And the water is beyond tepid, it's downright frigid.
Pull the plug.

Oh get over it DLC is often announced months before the release dates. Relax play some HA or whatever else you are into while you wait.
