Steam game launch failed - error code 51

Just bought it on steam and I get a "game launch failed" error 51. Don't see this one in the FAQ?
I have the latest graphics drivers and I've verified the game files.
GPU spec below. System is a new MSI laptop with 8GB RAM.

Looks like the Nvidia driver update I did as part of troubleshooting has broken things. I can still run games on the integrated graphics but I get error 51 for any game that's configured to use the Nvidia card.
