Southpaw?! (aka Swap-Sticks)
First off, congratulations on the launch and I hope the game is selling well, what I tried to play was fun.
As you have guessed by now based on the subject of this thread.. There is something very important to some gamers, it is the lack of southpaw and/or any button assignment/configuration. I do not mind using the default buttons, however I have not played using the default stick orientation since goldeneye and refuse to try to go back.
The fact there is no option to play with southpaw or swap-sticks has halted my descision to buy, I'm sure there are many others like myself that feel the same way.
Please patch in a control scheme for us left hand gamers and you can count on another customer (possibly many more) XD
Also, please no useless posts stating I and others that use southpaw need to revert back to default stick layout, it's asinine. A moderators reply is all that is necessary.
Right now we don't have plans to patch in a southpaw setup. I'm putting it on my list right now though to send to the devs for consideration. If we do it, though, it will have to be bundled in with other updates, since that's generally how Xbox works. It's not the sort of thing that we can push out individually, just so you have a heads up.
Hooray for lefty love! I actually don't use southpaw. In fact, I'm pretty sure if I played on a soutpaw setting it would be an epic fail.
Thank you for the reply from an official spokesman, this is how companies establish a good repore with their community. Hats off to Robot XD
Great news to hear the alternate control style is being brought into consideration for possible implementation in a future update. I and the other lefties out there can only hope.
I see the first addition of DLC has released. Checking back for an update on southpaw (swap-sticks) control support.
Still looking forward to playing this game, assuming southpaw gets added XD
WTF do you mean southpaw? You mean using the left stick to aim and the right one to move? I have never met anyone who does that. Why would I? If it's standard the other way around shouldn't you have learned how by now? It's the same deal as me being right handed and eating steak. Normally I have my fork in my right hand, but eating steak I cut it with my right and am perfectly capable of using the fork with my left hand. Why? Because I practiced. Consider this a learning experience.
>.> ... HAHAHAHA ....
- edit - Don't click the link. Its just spam.

Don't be rude about it. Southpaw is pretty common.

I wasn't even aware that lefties used controllers any differently.
A similar thread is up in the PC discussion asking for the same thing on the PC controls (for the same reason as it happens, darn lefties and your special requirements :P ). Official response was
I don't know for sure if that extends to making XBox customizable as well or not, but that is what we know so far.
