The Shaolin team is literally broken
I mean, seriously? Reducing max health by 25% permanently? This makes super units on every single team instantly worthless. Why even bother upgrading? Might as well toss that runemetal straight into the trash. My cat could dominate randoms, as long as I started the match and chose Shaolin for her every time. And maybe also declawed her so she wouldn't scratch my phone. But seriously, it's 100% impossible to beat a good player if they are using the Shaolin team, and that's not even counting their ridiculously OP super unit! As if neutering health and mods wasn't enough, now you can just take my units from me without even using any strategy? Robot, nerf this team or else I quit.
On a related note, has anyone else noticed how underpowered the Shaolin team is? I mean, all those unit powers SOUND nice, but in practice being forced to involve multiple units just to deal significant damage makes them awkward and unwieldy. They still can't touch a good dwarf player who knows how to use their bubbles and drills, and good luck even using the Shadow's power, since its pretty much 100% impossible to even KO a decent unit using this crappy team. I've had it with imbalanced teams that I paid good money for -- Robot, buff this team or else I quit.
You cant be serious!
Oh yes. Literally.
Six needs to give us the stats before this speculation gets out of control and drives Trip crazy...

Trip is already crazy. Crazy like a fox. With rabies, but on medication.
Technically, Trip is "trolling," but rather than looking to stir up trouble for trouble's sake, he is looking to enlighten others by helping them see ultimate universal truths through aburdist reductionism and the use of false paradigms to reveal hidden syllogisms.
People do not understand that the inner machinations of Trips mind are an enigma 0_o
I prefer to think of myself as a modern-day Jonathan Swift. With rabies.
oh well.. i fall for it.
I just want to thank Trip for taking the effort to start the three most prolific topics now that the new team has been anounced ("Shaolin is overpowered", "Shaolin is underpowered" and "fix the new unreleased team or I quit") and unite them under just one thread to spare us the trouble of browse them all. Now, I welcome you to the "Shaolin is overpowered/underpowered ranting" thread.
lulz.

Exactly. In today's tough economy, we need to be as efficient as possible with our precious thread resources. Now then, who has an idea for fixing the Shaolin team? I for one think they need better hats.
Instead of 25% reduction, it should be 75% reduction from the monk. Also the windblade should send a sharp wind through a whole row but the shadow should only have 1HP.
Yes. Shaolin definitely needs to be fixed.
They need to look more like Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. And they need to have winning advantages that only I know about. And they need to be available now.
Forgot about this shaolin, the next new team is super op!nerf all da units!!!
I vote they change all of them to look like cardboard samurai with skimpy outfits. Whose with me?
I want to be the first to report a Shaolin team bug:
There seems to be an intolerable delay when you first try deploy any of the units.
Please see what you can do to fix it ASAP?
kthx

The bug apparently hasn't hurt them, though -- they are undefeated in League play.
I am usually not one to cry wolf, especially since there are no wolves in New Jersey, my kids are too large to be eaten, and I have an extra cat. However, the Shaolin do seem to be completely unplayable. Even to talk about balance is absurd. I have tried to make them work, but its like beating one's head against a brick wall, except that it doesnt hurt as much since you use your iphone instead of a brick wall.
i've never seen a team so imbalanced...i'm undefeated with them...and yet i have no idea how to use them!
Eh, they're not that bad. I've lost about as many games as I've won with them (which admittedly, is not very much). They're different, and will just take some time to get used to. Oh, and their super-attack names are some of the best, up there with the Archer's, DW Engineer's, and Heavy's.
But their map. Ugghhh. I've never seen anything like it. The pre-placed barriers have way too much health, the combo-boost tiles are useless to 5/6 of the teams, and the teleporting crystal is possibly the most frustrating mechanic I've ever seen, in ANY game. You get your team set up in a good assault position, take down that stupid barrier, and then on the next turn, they can just teleport it to the other side, meaning all your AP spent positioning is wasted. I've gotten to the point where I just don't play any of my games that start out on that map.

Well-played, sir!

Hear, hear!
Bravo, my good man! I chuckled through the whole.... analysis?
And their super unit, the shadow, he is sooo useless, I have not once made a spectre with him for risk of his death. Ugh!

Really? Gosh, if I've made one, I must have made a thousand of them!
You guys have made a spectrical out of this thread.
I would just like to say, for the record, that my analysis here was 100% perfect, except for leaving out the Poisoner. Not only is she overpowered, dealing massive, debuffed damage with no drawbacks, but she is worthlesslly fragile and impossible to keep alive. Robot, please fix this broken team!
My stupid Shadow keeps bringing back stupid units. Seems like every time I use his special, all I get is a stinking scout or worthless wizard. C'mon, get me something good!
I know! Not only does she do massive damage, but her drawback is that she's worthlesslly fragile and impossible to keep alive.
Oh, wait sorry, that didn't come out right.
OP: Not important, but don't worry about your cat scratching your screen. Cat claws are not hard enough on the Moh's hardness scale. People always worry about my phone when I hand it to my GF's cat to play witht he cat toy app, but I assure them that fingernails can't scratch glass!
However, if you have a screen protector, that COULD get mangled pretty good.

Thanks for the tip!
However, it's not the screen itself I'm worried about, but rather the patent leather case around it. I like my phone to exude class, and claw marks detract from the desired effect. Fortunately, ever since I've started rubbing cayenne into the leather, my cat has stayed away.
