Shaolin Monk Bug
The monks description clearly says his debuff lowers a units max HP by 25%. However, i attacked a fully upgraded knight with 1200 HP with a monk, and his debuffed HP was 950. Anyone capable of percieving simple percentages can tell you that it should be 900. Dunno what triggered it, but ive checked almost everytime and this is the first time ive seen a miscalculation
i am willing to post a screenie if need be, HOWEVER, someone will have to teach me how to do so lol
Yep, what Trip said. I hit a fully upgraded and fed Wraith with a monk, and I thought I would take it down from 1410hp to 1060hp (25% of 1410 being 352.5). However, the result was a sadness-inducing loss of only 160 hp, which is 25% of the Wraith's original 650 hp, rounded down. I was not happy, but it is consistent with how buffs are applied. Spectacularly disappointing when hitting upgraded enemies.
Man, as the owner of a beefy fed wraith, I am SOooooooooo haaapppppppyyyy. It's about time DE caught a break.
Still, once you miss the magic number 1355 and 1200, the exact number of HP hardly matters.
what happens if your monk tags a wraith before it gets feedings or equipment upgrades? I assume the feedings still give the same static bonus, but do the equipment upgrades buff based on base stat or modified base stat? And then subsequently buff modified if the tag ever goes away?
I'm guessing the equipment works as always and is based on the unmodified base stat. Which means the wraith still catches a break vs shaolin monk in any case. Just looking for confirmation. I'm sitting on a tagged wraith that hasn't been fed or equipped yet.

It's actually quite simple: ALL percentage-based max HP modifiers (equipment buffs and monk debuffs) use the unit's base HP value for their effects.

That's what I thought, just looking for confirmation. Which means it makes the DE super unit Wraith resistant to percentage based HP modifiers due to its ability to grow.
Thanks Trip.

I aim to serve! And yes, it does give the Wraith a small edge against SL... As if anyone needs one. ;)

I believe it lowers max HP by 25% of its ORIGINAL value. (25% of 1000 is 250, 1200 - 250 = 950)
Seems kinda wonky, I know, but it's consistent with other max HP mods. For example, equipping both armors only boosts HP by 20% total, meaning the two percentage bonuses don't stack.
