I just saw this on kotaku http://kotaku.com/5879024/eas-origin-signs-up-some-very-very-pc-games and that make me worry. Does this mean that RE will release games on both steam and Origin concurrently? This matters greatly to me as i personally do not want to ever have to install Origin, i'd rather not buy the games then and giving how awesome Orcs Must Die is, that would make me a sad panda.

All it means, at the moment, is that the Steam version of Orcs Must Die! will be available for purchase from Origin's store. You won't have to download Origin to play Orcs Must Die! It will still be available via other outlets such as Steam, GamersGate, OnLive, and others.
Even if they signed with origin they would not remove everything from Steam. I do not think you would have to download it at all.
