Robot Entertainment, Please Make Ano ...

It is definitely up for debate, but that is not what I want to do here.  I seriously hold Age of Empires 2 as the best RTS of all time, and I think the series as a whole although it had its ups and downs was just full of greatness. 
 
I know you guys want to test what you can do with different games, which you already have shown you can do with Orcs Must Die 1 & 2, but the RTS market is seriously in a sour place.  There seriously is nothing new and great out there, nor is there anything coming as of right now.  I never liked StarCraft much because in my opinion the level of strategy just didn't compare to what AoE had to offer.  I just think it's sad that some of the most talented RTS devs, aren't working on a new RTS when that part of the market is in such a big need for something new and good. 
 
I think other AoE fans have been asking the wrong questions.  They have been asking for a new AoE which is completely out of your hands, since the rights are owned by Microsoft.  However, what made AoE great wasn't the name, it was you devs who made it.  So I wanted to come here and post a rallying cry for you guys to consider making a new RTS.  I hope the community will get behind me on this one, with the way the market is right now if you guys came out with something new and innovational, maybe with some flavor from the old AoE games.  I know you guys could take the market by storm, and create something truly special we all have been craving since AoE3. 
 
I read in another post that you guys have a lot of creative energy built up, but the way things are nowadays the most creative thing you could do would be to make an amazing RTS.  Because, it is seriously so far from the norm for big studios to try and make good RTS's anymore, they have all moved their efforts into Shooters, RPG's, and MMO's as well.  So I hope you guys read this and truly consider it, and I hope the community will back this up :p.  Here's to the hope that the RTS genre comes back to life!
