Random Crash during Gameplay
As the title says, the game randomly crashes in the middle of a level, only when there are orcs spawning/moving at me. It seems to be a graphics card crash. Sometimes it'll crash to the desktop and a warning would appear saying the card driver crashed. Other times I'll need to hard reboot the laptop because of a complete freeze up.
Orignally, when I ran it through Steam, the game defaulted to Intel HD 3000 graphics, but I swapped it to my Nvidia GT 540m in the Nvidia control panel. It only crashes for the dedicated card. I had the GT driver on the beta, so I downgraded that to the last stable release. The crash issue persisted though. Any ideas why this is happening?
I can run it not too badly with the integrated card on low quality, so I'm not too desperate. :P But it be nice to run it on high quality settings.

Intel Core i7 2630 QM (2.00 GHz quadcore)
6 gigs of RAM
Nvidia GT 540m (2gigs vram)
Rather oddly, the Optimus feature actually came in handy for me for gaming xD Thought I'd never use my integrated card for games like this.
Yeah, most intergrated cards die at the thought of running anything usually. But you should be able to run the game with your main card, we all should. Its not good on Robot to not get a hotfix out for all these crashes for OMD2. Ive shelved the game now, i cant put my computer at risk when playing the game. its a shame, caus i really liked playing it.
Yea... :[ Just discovered I can't keep plaing it either. The integrated card was good for the first few levels, but once the spawns reach a certain point I just lag to death. xD Tried the challege map and died on the 6th wave from being unable to move.
I also posted the same problem weeks back but still no one gave me a reply to this. I'm trying to help my friend get to wave 50 on endless but the game just automatically crashes halfway which wasting all our time and effort. I really need them to fix this problem because I am starting to wonder if they are going to not take action with this problem and leave it be. We the indivduals who have this problem should at least be have some reposnse from the robot members.
I'm in the same boat friends. Robot Entertainment doesn't seem to have any other support options other than these forums. It would be nice for them to at least acknowledge there is a problem and that they're working on it...
Im in the same boat mate, on my ATI HD5670 card, crashing randomly, but ive been getting blue screen of deaths as well, while only running this game. I cant even run it on 800 x 600 low everything it still crashes. Very frustrating, and the lack of robot responses is annoying, my post has been on here for at least 10 days now and nothing. Seems to me its a game problem rather than a driver / graphics card problem. I could replace my card and it still crash so im holding out until they fix it.
Every orc will die, it is only a matter of time before i kill them all!
