(PC) Pre-order DLC suddenly missing ...
I pre-ordered the game last night because I wanted the Knight of the Order DLC. After the game went live today, I downloaded and installed it. On the main menu and in the View Downloadable Content selection, the Knight of the Order DLC was there and usable. The download file size is listed as 4.3 gigs which can't be right because I downloaded the game is roughly 18 minutes. So I wanted to see if re-downloading it would correct the issue. So I uninstalled and re-downloaded.
After re-downloading the game and starting it up, the pre-order bonus was no longer present in the game. The shield icon wasn't on the screen anywhere. Quitting out of the game and checking under View Downloadable Content for the game, the Knight of the Order DLC was no longer listed. Instead a new DLC was listed there called, Lost Adventures DLC. What the hell is going on?
My shield is gone as well, maybe this has to do with the game getting released early? I'm sure RE will fix it as soon as possible. That Lost Adventures DLC sounds kind of odd though. I do hope they don't already have DLC done and waiting to be released.
EDIT: The shield was there earlier today with the Knight of the Order costume ready for use, in case that matters to anyone.
Same issue here as well. The DLC shows as Lost Adventures, and I never even saw a shield anywhere. Hope this gets fixed soon.
A bit somewhere seems to have been flipped incorrectly. We're doing our best to correct it, and we'll update you when we know more.
So, lost adventures is dlc to come?
If Lost Adventures is future DLC, I'm really hoping it's just something RE has planned. That or something they've already got ready that will be free. It'd be kind of stupid if they already had it made and then charged for it.
mastermind's from RE - he just said that they're aware of the problem and that they're working on a fix.

This should be fixed now.
I'm sorry to report that I still see no shield.
Have you tried restarting Steam and verifying files again? I know they're having some issues, but we're hearing lots of people with this working now.
Well I restarted Steam and verified the files, but unfortunately there's still no shield.
Just popping in to say that I'm also missing the shield. The DLC listed in Steam is still the Lost Adventures one. I have restarted steam/verified cache several times. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm one of the ones that purchased it between when it was released and the end of the promotion. I also had it installed as a demo. Any thoughts?
I as well, preorder, yet see no shield, and have lost adventures DLC... :( i want the knights of the order costume.
I'm with Huggles on this one.
I've verified my cache, restarted steam, restarted my computer, unstalled the game completely, removed any remaining files from install, and finally reinstalled. I still have no shield. I'm not sure there is much more that i can do on my end.
I still have The Lost Adventures listed as my DLC after all that.
I hope this gets resolved soon.
I did all of the above as well and still have no DLC even though I preordered when the demo came out. It still shows the non existant DLC. This makes me sad.
Same here!
Same here!!!!!!!
Well I restarted Steam and verified the files, but unfortunately there's still no shield. (2)
Yep, 2:09am cst this is still broken. Tried verifying cache, no dice, then deleted and downloaded again, still no dice. The only DLC listed is the new one Lost Adventures. No shield on main menu to switch on the dlc.
Yeah if you look in your OMD folder you can see the DLC data in there. There's even a preorder.xml file. I think the problem is Steam isn't recognizing that we have it. Robot needs to get them to fix this it's pretty sad.
Ive been having the exact same problem, and was really looking forward to having the costume. I verified and restarted steam like 8 times, and this is starting to annoy me. The only reason I preordered this game is so I could get this costume, and yet I still dont have it.
I'm reinstalling, ill see if that helps
I don't understand people who do several steps like ten times waiting different results. Just wait, they'll not leave people without their right DLC. ._.
Mistakes happens all the time. Think it like when you forgot to make some homework and you ask for your teacher to deliver it on the other day.
Your analgoy is broken. My teacher doesn't pay me money for my late homework. If I put my money down on a product ealry and am promised a bonus, not getting that bonus is a big breach of trust. Needless to say I won't be preordering future products from Robot Entertainment.
What's more troubling is they seem to think it's fixed when it clearly isn't for many people.
exactly
Yeah, but depends on the situation, you do a lot worse. you PAY your teacher to your late homework.
A PC game are not, and never will be, free of bugs. There are so many steps in the way from the Devs to the Customers, and so many people don't understand that. It's all about the flame and oh-i-pay-it. What about taxes? You go out on the street and flame the *** because of it?
It's a lot about spoiled child not getting the gift they asked mommy.
edit: typos, typos everywhere
I had the same issues as everyone here, that I only had the "Lost Adventures" DLC available, no matter what I did to the game cache (verified, reinstalled, etc.).
I found that when I logged on to Steam on another computer that never had OMD installed, I had the correct DLC available (Knight of the order), but not on the computer that I first installed the game on, that still had "Lost Adventures".
So what I did was that I removed the appinfo.vdf and packageinfo.vdf files in the ...\Steam\appcache folder and started Steam again.
That fixed it for me, it now says that I have the correct DLC and I also verified this in game.
its not a bug. a part of the game is missing it 's like buying a car and you are promised leather seats and when you finaly buy it the seats are missing its not a bug most of the people could just w8 for a sale and buy the game with a 50% off its not a bug if it was a bug people would find the solution and wouldnt ask the creators about the problem. In addition people accept the bugs as you sayed every game has bugs sure even games from blizzard have bugs and its a big as hell company .nobody is really mad at RE they failed with the DLC but at least they are working on it ofc people will get dissapointed when the people from RE say that its fixed when its clearly not and it's obvious many will loose their trust about RE and as you sayed :Think it like when you forgot to make some homework and you ask for your teacher to deliver it on the other day. A day has passed and they tell us that its fixed when its not . think what would happen if you went to your teacher after the day you told her that you would give her the project or whatever she asked you and you start like this
"name"
"projects name"
"3 empty pages"
and you claim you are done
in school as you sayed you would get an F if you payed for the DLC people would be outside their company yelling at them and if they intended not to give us the DLC an angry crowd would have already kicked the crap out of them! but none of this have happened so stop making fail examples and dont get mad when people loose their trust we are all humans we all make mistakes the people that made the game are also humans you are not better than anybody e neither and the same is for all so stop beeing *** smag about it

lol it totaly works for me as well thanks a lot for the info if i could give you thumbs up i would ^_^
bah! i'm not going further with this arguing. this is the internet, so we still retards anyway. Just take it easy on the devs, or go out and your own game. anyway, sorry for any wrong.

I see the same thing, and did not receive the pre order DLC despite buying the game when the demo was released. I'm kind of sad. Why offer a pre order bonus and not give it to your customers?
