people can just challenge / ask tabby to do a game replay so will he have more people to work it. The more people help him the easier he will find a good game to use in his "battle reports".
so if you feel like playing some tabby you know where i am (assuming you dont hate dwarves too much) P;
HA calc is incredible, so much better than my free iPad calc
Zomg please don't challenge me expecting that the game will get blogged - I need to prepare whenever I think about blogging a game, it's a real investment. :p
also chances are you'll get crushed and your spirit broken :)

no worries hes used to it :)))
I was wondering....has anybody considered the opening of Vic here . If it were me since Tabby decided to go for the teleport tile pressure with the VM,Which on the board is kind of like flanking. i think going straight for control of the board with opening the heavy to C7 which is 3AP and maybe deploying the spy to D8. Its propably no "turning card effective " but since tabby didnt have his imp advanced ...hes still 3AP away from heavy or the sword square and and we are 1AP away from the sword square which is a huge advantage taking the initiative from tabby . If i were tabby i usually would open the imp to D4 imediately and deploy VM ..thats just my preference . Any suggestions ?
edotensei, that's a really good idea, definitely better than what I did. I started that game with no clear plan of attack or strategy (the beginning of several mistakes).
There's a bunch of moves I would have played differently, but ah well, can't rewind time.
Hmm.. What do you think of imp to D2 as an answer to heavy C7? Then TF has spent early AP moving for no obvious direct threat, and slow development.
After D2, I can still develop 4AP on/near the teleport tile, and C7 is no longer safe for heavy.
with the hand i have i would answer with healer to C8 and move scout to cover the teleport square ...then develop the other pieces .i also like the pyro on B8 forming a little protection triangle for the healer . I for one im not afraid of the imp scroll to ko stomp the heavy as my spy is around the vicinity to counter and stomp the imp but most importantly ill fight for squares here right off the bat. personally i have no problem trading imp+scroll for heavy. and considering that u still 2AP from the sword square and and u need 3AP to ko the heavy, main fact(due to imp draw ability is that i rez and im close up to attack and stomp. sure this might be wishful thinking but again nothing wrong with vics plan, just knowing how u play u like to make ur opponents react to u and here im going to be the one trying to make u react.
Actually, I think I just got lucky with the scrolling of the heavy and spy, and later, the all in VM attack at the top right. Without these 2 lucky breaks, I'd be in a much poorer position.
Ahh Dont be modest , the both of u played a great game. I learnt a lot from this game on both sides. Im sure everybody feels the same.

You really think I played a great game here? Look who's being modest now. :)
This is a very useful + entertaining read :-)
Just checking whether I am still awaiting moderation.
Edit: Strangely no. I re-logged in. I don't know if that did it or not.
Interesting let's see what I would have done on the 1st turn...
I would probably have put the vm covering the lower teleport square and deploy the impaler on the same spot so next round VM could go and pound on the crystal while the impaler could move to the boost title.
You should add buff disruption to the list of soul harvest utilities- specifically, medic link, sniper crouch, beer, and bubbles. Breaking the Medic link is especially nice since it requires 2 AP for TF2 to restablish.
NICE! I forgot about that - will add that in. =)
"TheycallmeVic also reminded me that this piddling amount of damage? Also breaks bubbles, beer, TF medic link, stuff like that - it's particularly good against TF medic because the link target needs to get healed up before the link can be re-established (shades of matrix), whereas it's not that good against bubbles because soul bombs that don't do damage don't give bonus health. Still, it's a good option to look out for!"
:*(
Oh snap!!!!! I somehow got that wrong. I'll fix that. >.>
Nice! Your blog got a shout out on the HA Facebook page.

Yeah... because if that's something we all know in here as your one and only flaw, tabby_nat: you're just way too anti-social.
Open up will you? Let us in.....

If you check HA's FB page, you'll see a cool 3D image of the tribe map. :D

Thanks all!
I occasionally get comments from people in game saying that the blog really helped them - that's why I keep going!
That, and if I don't get the strategy stuff out of my head I'll explode. >.>
Mew? =^^=
