Official scores are being understated
So I was just looking at the screenshot of a high score I set last night when I noticed that the math on the scoring doesn't add up.
The offical posted score came to 50,813,717 but the given subtotal on the stats screen is 51,019,134, if you add them up yourself the second score is the correct one.

Clearly Robot didn't fail remedial math because it shows you the correct total under "total" so why does the incorrect lower score become the offical posted score?
I think I have solved this riddle, the point discrepency is due to points earned after the last rift point is lost and character control is removed but before the stats screen renders. Orcs seem to keep moving in the background until the wave ends and even occasionally dieing for points, even though you have already lost.
In my own example posted here I scored a combo 13x just as the game ended causing the 200k point difference. The points report as earned on the stats page but are not added to the offical score total because it occured just after the last rift point was lost.
