Notifications are not working
Since the update, I am no longer receiving notifications after my opponent has made there move. Can this be fixed?
same problem for me, I have to manualy update the game list to see if someone has make a move. I am on an Iphone 4.
Notifications not working for me either. I checked and they are active in the settings (didn't change it from before the update actually).
Also, if it was at all possible to get an option for language selection in a future update it would be awesome... I run iOS in French but would love to be able to still play the game in its original english version... :)
Same for me : no notification unless I'm under the games list page.

Same for me on iPad and iPhone 4.
Set on/off don't change, need to go in the game to check if opponent have moved.
Just thought about something : my game switched in french as it is now available. That could be a difference with your in-house testings.

We're looking into the lack of notifications on secondary devices and the login and game loading issues right now. Thanks for the patience.
We dug deeper and notifications appear to not be working in many international languages and on secondary devices. The fix is in test right now, and when it's cleared we'll get the servers updated and the problem should be resolved. Several other litlte problems will get fixed along with this, like auto-resignation and getting an opponents moves while still looking at the map.
It started working again a few days back, thanks a lot!
We put in a fix on Friday. I just didn't want to make too much noise about it because we saw some issues that might have needed a rollback, but it turned out everything was good. ;)
Just got game on Saturday for iPad. Notifications do not work at anytime. I have to manually refresh game list to tell if it is my turn.
This is a separate bug. Notifications are working on the primary device that you created your game account on and not any secondary devices. That's something that we're looking into at the moment.
Notifications are not working on my iPhone now. It s my primary device and I have the latest version of the game. Everything was working fine but now don t receive notifications and have to refresh the list manually.
Have you tried double checking your notification center to make sure htey're turned on? And tried closing the app entirely from the task bar ane re-opening it?

I think this might be a new issue. Notifications stopped working on my iPhone today sometime in the afternoon (Eastern). Primary (only) device with the game installed, updates installed, etc. No badges appear on the game icon unless I enter the game. Once I view my game list and then back out, badge displays the proper number of waiting games.
New issue for me too. Notifications were working on both my iPhone and iPad until this afternoon. Now neither receives them. Turned off and back on in notification settings. Killed the task. Uninstalled (but kept in Game Center). Reinstalled. Restarted. None of those fixed the issue.
Notifcations just stopped working this afternoon (in Canada). Nothing was done to the device or changed. It just stopped. Clearing background apps and reboot didn't fix - likewise turning notifcations on/off had no effect.
You have a real problem and it's not localization because I only use default english.
As a software engineer I would say that your last server maintenance broke something. That was today right? Maybe you should roll back and see if that fixes it.
Plus I noticed some syncronization issues that happen rarely - like when you hear your opponents replay but see only an empty map. The game just sits there with an empty (unit-less) battle screen. But the UI is still working so if you go back to the game list, and come back to the game again then it fixes it.
Finally - how can I find out what fake email and password I used to setup my account? I dumbly realized I can't enjoy my in-app purchases on my iPad and now I fear if I unistall or something happens to my phone that I will lose all my teams. username 'splint'
I added the game to the ipad a few days ago. Haven't touched the ipad version today so the notification issue has nothing to do with the secondary device.

Notifications stopped working for me today as well. For what it matters, I'm an American English user and I've checked my notifications to make sure it's turned on. Still not working.

1 in 10 people will be annoyed and this will diminish the game experience. We like the notification alert. The other 90% of the people will just think everyone stopped playing with them. Then they will quickly lose interest.
Because this game has no single player and is async only and is 100% dependant upon the living mass of current players - this bug could be the single most dangerious bug this game has ever had. If I were in charge I'd roll back the server changes or whatever immediately - no previous set of bugs or balance adjustments can make up for the mass exidos that this bug will soon cause.
I am a huge fan but most of my opponents have stopped playing. (but then it could just be me and my killer tribe)
If there is appropriate responce to this emergency and everything that can be done is being done then - lets just cross our fingers and pray to the paladin's god and wish for the best.
I just hope its not a bigger issue caused by apple due to a patent issue (germany lost push email) or my isp blocking it for some reason.
Definite new issue, notifications stoped on my ipad and iphone 4 at the same time yesterday afternoon. Had been working all day and then just stopped. Now only work after enter the game client and manually refresh. My notivication settings are unchanged and I have hard re booted both devices with no resolution of issue.
We found a bug that cropped up overnight and have since fixed it. You guys should all be good now.
Ahh the sweet notification sound hath returned. Good job on catching that quick. Hopefully you guys adopt a new rule around notification testing before releases (or post testing after server maintenance).

Rise from the grave!
Stopped receiving notifications on iOS version at about 8pm EST 12/31/12.
Turned everything off then on in notification center, and rebooted phone, didn't fix issue.











Have you checked to ensure they are turned on in notification center? They're working on our end...
