NO IN GAME SOUND?
I just baught and installed hero academy yesterday and there is no sound when you go to challenges or play online in a battle against a human player? My computer is new and everything is up to date. All other games work on steam and my computer with sound only hero academy doesn't? Is this still a ongoing problem I heard it was a problem months ago and still its not fixed? I have windows 7 64- bit version. This is bugging me so bad because yes sound is that important to me. Please anyone else having this problem or know a way to fix this. I LOVE this game and want to enjoy it even more. Thank you for your time.
I'm having the same problem, no SFX/music. On the HA-Steam forum are 2 more people with the problem, one of them only got title screen sound.
My soundcard (SB Live!) is a few years old, and there are no more new driver updates for it. But, I never had any problems with it.
One of the posters from the HA-Steam forum just got a new PC so that soundcard is probably new.
The rest of my drivers are up-to-date and yes the sound is enabled in the HA settings :) I have WinXP.
I really hope it can be fixed, I'm looking forward to play this game, it looks fun. But not without sound :(

I guess I'll toss my name in the list too. I just bought the game for myself and my son and his pc is fine (windowsXP) but my pc has no sound (windows7). Using on board sound from a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3.
Someone mentioned reinstalling ffdshow. I went to this link, installed it, and now I have sound.

I just tried fddshow, first the standard install but still no sound. Same with the full install.

Just to get the obvious stuff out of hte way, you've updated your drivers and everything? What kind of sound device are you using? Made sure sound is ON in the options menu?
