Load Times -iOS
This is where we clock load times for different devices under different circumstances. I'll show you a sample entry:
Device: iPhone 5.
Multi-tasking bar fullness: none
HA in multi-tasking bar: no
Acess: Wi-Fi
Time to get to games page: 13 seconds
Other notes: I'm on an extension to a cable modem, fast Internet access
Perhaps I should make this an "input" thread and create a second "database" thread. In which I would take your entries and enter them in via copy paste, kinda like hamlets mechanics reference thread.
I've noticed a significantly better load time, at work and at home.
I play mostly on the computer client, and it used to freeze when switching between games (specifically, when the hourglass came up to load). After the server update, I'm noticing significantly faster loading between games, and the game has yet to hang like it occasionally would before.
On my iPhone 5, it takes 14 seconds to load the game (anew, not with it running in the background) and get to a refreshed Games list.
i have iphone 4s, wi-fi on a fast 10mbit connection. it takes 3-6 seconds to load a game.. it still ALOT of time, dont get me wrong, it takes usually less then a second to load sites, why it should take 3-5 seconds to load a game data from server? its much more less data then an average site..

Your wifi seems pretty bad. I am not sure it takes 13 seconds at my workplace -- my home is much faster on iphone, wifi/cable modem. Or maybe you are playing at 8pm when everyone is on your cable provider slowing it down. Heck, sometimes 4g is only a few seconds (when its a good signal).
The game wasn't running in the backround, so I had to go through the "logging in" screen. :)

This means that we can standardise that "iPhone 5 not having HA in the backround takes 13-14 second to get to games list. (over wifi?)"
Hooray, this thread is working well!

I can confirm that 13 seconds time, using an identical test, loading to the list of games page. iPhone 5 64Gb, ultra fast broadband and wifi (75Mb speed on speedtest.net).
Same test took only 12 seconds using my iPad 3 64Gb.
Same test on my very fast PC took 13 seconds, to the games list. Using an ethernet internet connection though, to the same ultrafast broadband.
So, iPad 3 fastest. iPhone 5 and PC are equal.

Art, time it..... to the list of games page in the game. It "feels" a lot quicker than it actually is when you stopwatch it :) Networker's figures are quite correct.
Anyone claiming it is much quicker, especially on an older device, is either guessing or timing it to the App's front end screen, not the games list screen.
It does not feel at all slow to load though, on any of my devices. It feels very quick.
