The Last Bastion *Free* DLC idea
Just a thought for robot, What if after a while and hopefully one or two more dlcs they release a FREE DLC which is only availible to those who have all the past DLCs? It would include a few maps and EVERY enemy that has been added in prior DLCs in one expansion for it's maps as a motive to have them all.
As for the maps, I was kind of hoping for Gateway and Chokepoint from the original game as I had tons of fun on them and they may be more single- player friendly. Plus maybe one or two more.
.....just an idea.
Can you imagine gateway with every type of enemy coming at you? Maybe for nightmare having some SERIOUS combinations which could scare the crap out of you? If all of them are combined right, it could leave to some orkpocalypse or (pushpocalypse- for nananea) as a final dlc's all out attack on your rift. and possibly the most intense defense you've had to do.
I think the best idea in this suggestion is the idea to add the DLC enemies to additional maps. It seemed like a shame to me that so much effort was put into designing these interesting and challenging new enemies, and then they never show up on more than three maps.
Maybe in a future biggish patch/release, a new, more challenging difficulty setting could change enemy lineups to include enemies from all the DLC you own. It could be called "Swarm Mode" or something, I dunno.
I don't really give a lot of cares about the concept of FREE DLC, partly because that seems a little counterintuitive (isn't it just called a "patch"?) and partly because the DLC is already cheap. If I think of my purchase in terms of a cost-to-enjoyment ratio, as I sometimes do, this game is already a huge value, with or without the DLC I've bought. I do wish the DLC were more integrated with the core levels of the game (in terms of occasionally running into DLC enemies in core maps, the same way you can bring DLC weapons into core maps), but I get that that's a bunch of extra work and it messes with people who pay more attention to which enemies are in which waves than I do. So it's not a real complaint, just a pipe dream.
Even though I don't mind buying the DLC, I would be hesitant about a free one. As the old meme goes, "shut up and take my money".
Free DLC's, even the ones blatantly made to get more money as would this one be, usually back off haters getting some extra purchases.
But of course, hatters gonna hat.

yeah thats great Idea
