If you could change anything about H ...
I have been playing turn based strategy games since I was ten from the goodies like final fantasy tactics, brigandine, and so forth. What I think would make the gameplay more fun for me would be to...
Allow 1 turn per unit.
I think this would bost the great group strategy of the game. The challenges were so fun. Using Knights to knock players in place then blasting them with a variety of characters is true fun to me. However, I find that boosting one unit and sending him in alone is what is widely used in the 5 turn method. It is still fun, but I think 1 turn per each unit would allow for more fun and help games move along at a steady pace.
Add Ai
I just want to speed through a game every now and then. Maybe it could be availible in an offline version with AI so i could enjoy the game on a plane or area without internet.
Yeah, skill based match making would do a lot. How about a ranked mode? =p
i would love some form of quick gaming .. sometimes u really just want to play one quick game
I would like some sort of premium service that allowed buyers to host and take part in mini tournaments and mini leagues within the game (up to 8 players or something). They would have their own menus, you could customise the name, starting AP, and auto-resign length, and invite players to take part.
this would work in tandem with a profile page where you could view your win/loss data, statistics, and a little trophy room would display your won tournaments. You could add friends and leave shouts on their profiles as well as view them.
i think the profile page should be free, but the tournament/league add on could be to pay for.
I like pixel tigers idea!
many things, but one of my favorite is 2vs2
It's a little out there, but a points-based random team creator would be amazing. Based on certain parameters, like maximum number of a unit type / specific unit / spell etc a random generator gives you a random team. The avoid OPness they have to add up to a certain point range (with different items/abilities being worth different points). It might prove to be disastrous but I think it'd prove to be great fun if enough work was put in to make it reasonably balanced.

Perhaps something like this could be implemented into Steam Workshop? RE cant be a bottomless pit of ideas, and input from a larger community is bound to yield some real gems
both amazing ideas from pixel tiger and luigiman definitely would be super crazy awesome to have features like those
Might have answered differently months ago, but now....external beta-testing, definitely. Zekers is a really smart dude, but he is an army of 1, and it was bound to show sooner or later. Yeah, I know most of the Robot's play, but how can you have *meaningful* beta-testing when the team has hero worship of one of them? I dont think you can. Plus, even if they have 10 guys participating, that is hardly the same as a typical betaprogram for an IOS game, when you might have 50+ testers.
Its so easy now too...testflight takes most of the work out of recruting and setting folks up.

This. This is my wish.... external beta-test program. Whether I'd be invited or not.
For those that are thinking about volunteering,: it's very hard work - you have to report frequently and comprehensively. They want you to find bugs, not coolness.
Since some users have already mentioned, the most importnant changes, (eg, skill based matchmaking, offline ai bots) Im gonna mention a superficial one.
I'd really like it if we had the ability to change the skins of the units indivually, say for example that I didn't like the archer skin but liked everybody else on the team, I could change her into a male version of the archer, or give her a different looking face/bodytype/ethnicity/hair/etc. Just something to spice up the otherwise montonous looking characters you see every game.
After seeing the avatars for the shaolin, I can't help but wish they went with the other models instead of the nearly parralel version of the council. Most of them don't even look asian(imo), they look more like western otaku's cosplaying there favorite anime characters.

Sōdesu ne (そうですね)?!?! ^_^
I ROARED at this one!!!!

Skill based matchmaking. Definitely my biggest want.
