How your name came to be?
I was just wondering how everyone chose their name. I'll start, Silver is my last name IRL and I have a birthmark on my butt that look exactly like a cloud lol. Also do you think this update happening will bring the shaolin?

I used to use "Tabby_Cat" on IRC (remember IRC?) but most sites don't have it available any more. I wasn't able to get it on any email service either. So I generally use Tabby_Nat online, which has a shortened version of my name in it. =)
Ready yourselves for a riveting tale. It started many years ago when I was in university and first had the chance to sink hours of my life into online games. One of my first favourites was dark messiah of might and magic multiplayer. It was a laughably bad game as far as balance was concerned. Wizards had a spell called lightning orb which was the single most overpowered spell though up by man. It oneshot most people and was just a giant ball of death. And on a map with a choke point it was godly. Everyone hated. Lorbspammers so I ironically started playing as lorbfan. Jump forward 4 years and I still use the name but it lacks meaning now as the context is gone and I move to the name lorbster which is just lorbfan with the fan swapped for a ster. It looks kind of like another word: lobster. Lobsters have a red shell. Which wasn't a name I could use possibly because it looks like I might have been trying to sneak the word hell into my name so I had come up with something new. What is a synonym for shell? Exoskeleton. And there you have it, a bit of insight into the mind of a madman

The first time i signed up for somethin online, i was lingering on an obsession with Nintendo's Luigi, an came up with the name. Used it for everything ever since ^.^

Starcraft 1 came out about the same time as Evangelion hit the US, and I picked ikarigendo as my battle net ID (seemed fitting, as a battlefield commander). Even though I don't love the series as much any more, and Gendo is kind of a jerk, I've kept the handle because all my friends know it. We tend to keep the same handle in all games we play.

"Mash-up" is what all the kids are calling portmanteau these days - it's all the rage with their newfangled "remixed" rock-and-roll music and music videography on their YouTube whatsit - and don't get me started on cats and cheeseburgers!

Since my childhood, I have been refering to fallen food crumbs as "gribbles," which in recent years led to my girlfriend playfully calling me "The Gribbler" due to some admittedly messy eating habits. Gribbs is just an abbreviation of that.
I also found it funny when I subsequently learned of the existence of the Gribble Worm, which, for defence, can jam themselves within their burrows using their uropods and block the tunnel with their rear disc-shaped segment, the pleotelson. I find myself often relying on a similar strategy in Hero Academy.
Shaboogawa has been my online name since a\ s\ l was used in chat rooms, unfortunately I don't remember how I came up with it...it's so random. Now i use it for everything Online related including Xbox live, unprofessional email addy, forums, etc!

Tazar Yoot came from an illustation of the band Gorillaz which I am quite fond of. The picture is of 2D, Mudroc, Noodle and Russle, in it the member 2D is wearing a shirt that says Tazar Yoot. I have no idea what it means but I liked it and adopted it.

Yep, look them up. They're remastered versions that source from the original episodes (I think they're referred to as "Rebuild of Evangelion" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebuild_of_Evangelion). But they've tweaked the story a bit and added new things. Definitely worth watching to bring back memories of Eva.

Someone who I used to work with started calling me ZekersSneakers - so I adopted that (cause hey, it sounds pretty cool! Who doesn't love sneakers?!) and then many others called me Zekers. I like that too.

Well back in the day I was looking for an internet handle and of course all names were taken already next to me was a good friend of mine Julian Soullard (Soullard means drunk BTW) so a little switching and SoulLord was born on the net and it has been mi handle for quite some time now.
My first and middle names are Blake and Robertson, so obviously.
I was always a huge bugs bunny fan (from way back when cartoons were only on Saturday mornings) Bugs Bunny being my favorite. In Bugs n Thugs Rocky tells Bugs to shut up shutin up but with his accent sounds like shadap shatin ap.

Lots of interesting stories, but I have the best. Everyone assumes that I am a man named Art from NJ, but in reality, I am actually a man named Art from NJ. Cant make this stuff up, eh?
I do have a true and amusing name tale though -- back when I played Axis and Allies online, most names were taken. My cat threw up just as I was struggling to come up with a name, so I picked "Demonbarf" as my handle. All was well and good for a few years, but then I got my boss into Axis and Allies, and he discovered my handle, and ridiculed me without mercy. Years later, in another game (dont remember which) I found that the name Demonbarf was already taken! Was a deeply profound WTH moment.
My RL name is Rich. I liked how the mash-up of Wretch + Rich = Writch, a phonological match with wyrd undertones.
