Happy Birthday Hero Academy!
I just realized Friday was Hero Academy's first birthday. And I didn't even buy it a cake.
Anyway, just throwing that out there. Version 1.0.1 showed up in the App Store on January 11, 2012, I started my first game on January 12th, and rarely has a day gone by since when I didn't put in at least one turn. Hero Academy is easily my favorite game on IOS and probably one of my favorite games of all time.
Here's hoping it sticks around for another year.

Seriously, you've gotta be a Kremlinologist to try and figure out what's going on at Robot these days.
When I realized it was the first anniversary, I thought it would be interesting to see what the average time between patches/versions was. Just for kicks, here's the breakdown:
42 days between Launch and Dwarves
42 days between Dwarves and Tribe
125 days between Tribe and TF2
99 days between TF2 and Shaolin
AVERAGE = 77 DAYS BETWEEN TEAMS
Breaking it down even further, there's an average of 33.5 days between point release patches.
We're at day 62 since the release of the Shaolin right now.

Even it sounds maybe naive, but I think their next release is finally about android.. they still need it and it gives them a bigger push too, maybe even with team (hopefully not the same as tf2)

This game is one year old now and robot entertainment still doesn't sell any merchandise for it. That is somehow sad.I would love to buy some Merchandise like:
- Hero Academy team figures (well for any Team I would buy it)
- How about a phantom from DE or Meat from Tribe Plushie as funny Item
- Authentic looking healing potions from anyteams, like you know from ThinkGeek
- Cool T-shirts Designs (something else than the this current design) with on the back cool slogans or so. e.g. Something with the Grenadier making a joke about the demoman or Ninja.
Maybe I should make some kind of extra thread for that with some polls to show Robot Entertainment that there are people, who want buy things of the game :/

So crayzay to think i've been playing this for a year....
few apps are able to stay on my phone longer than a few months, and the "regular" iOS games? pffft. usually gone within the day/week.
This game is a mainstay on my homescreen....

@games on the iPhone, I agree I have not many games I play so long specially on the iPhone. There is only other one I like much that is Battleheart and the funny fact is, that hero academy is inspired of that game lol.
For me, no iPhone game should even be mentioned in the same sentence.

But in all seriousness, this is definitely something i would buy. Without hesitation. RE could also use it to increase their HA crowd. It could come with a code that unlocks DE for free in the game.

I use to play Battleheart a lot, but stopped because, unlike HA, its single player and got old after a while.
