Glitch or hidden mechanic?
Hey there, I couldn't find any info on this, or I'm looking incorrectly, but in a recent match with a friend of mine (Dwarves (him) vs Tribe (me)) on the Teleport map he did something that I found curious.
On his turn, he brought his Grenadier onto the Power Boost panel, and threw a detonation powered up bomb, but I didn't remember seeing a scroll being used. And he proceed to use detonation a couple more times. I tried to replicate this on the same map with dwarves in another game, but nothing happened. Am I missing something?
The "super" animations trigger above certain damage thresholds, and aren't directly linked to scrolls. Dwarves are often able to trigger these animations without using scrolls thanks to their racial tile-boost power and Paladin auras, but the animations don't affect the actual damage dealt. If you go back and check the damage that your friend's grenadier was dealing, it should be the amount expected based on his equipment, tile boost, etc..., not the tripled scroll version.
Hope this makes sense!

The "scroll" animation doesn't trigger when you use a scroll, it triggers when a single attack clears normal damage thresholds. Paladin aura+runemetal+attack tile is enough to trigger the scroll animation.
