Give the classic maps to people who ...
So I bought Orcs Must die on the xbox. I was sad when omd2 was a steam exclusive but i bought Orcs must die 2 on steam anyway. I reallly am hungry for new content and i want the classic maps that steam owners of the original but im not about to buy a game i already paid full price for again. Robot should stop abandoning the former xbox owners and give us the content for their new game
My issue is not with the platform but that the people who purchased the steam version of Orcs Must Die got exclusive content in Orcs Must Die 2. So what I want is for robot to give the people who purchased an xbox copy of the first one the same treatment (exclusive levels etc) the steam players are recieving. I dont think you even read the question to be quite honest, Or you would have known that I already purchased the game and dont care about the price anymore
I read the first post. But it sounds to me like an unrealistic request. It's like saying 'I purchased this thing last year, and now you're releasing a new product with this bonus. I demand that I get the same treatment for the product I purchased last year!' .... the world doesn't work like this. Hate to break it to you.
This was gone over a lot before OMD!2 even released. It's simply not possible for RE to properly determine who owns the original game for 360 in relation to the extra content on Steam. If you want the bonus content, just grab it during a sale for $2.50.

What he said. ;)
Well the bonus content is unlocked when OMD2 checks your Steam Library for OMD1. How is it supposed to work for Xbox users? That's not something Robot can just check, you know.
You don't even need to buy any of the DLC for it to add to OMD2 so just buy the orginal game with nothing when a heavy sale is going down. 75% off is 2.50$ (No DLC). That's half as much as a drink at Starbucks
It's pretty much what the others said. The game checks your Steam library for the original game to award you the additional content. We don't have a technical way for Steam to reach out to Xbox LIVE and ask if you own the first game, and most other ways of doing it are not particularly reliable. It would definitely be taken advantage of if it wasn't automated the way it is on Steam.

Simple answer to this question. Feasability.
Sales don't meet expectations -> Subsequent releases do not occur on that platform.
Considering it was on sale and is regularly %75 off - the entire thing for rediculously low price and you can easily plug an Xbox controller into your PC. I dont' see your qualm here. You get a multitude of new levels and traps, co-op play and a large portion of the classic levels redesigned as well as endless mode and downloadable extra content. It's much easier for you to plug your controller into your computer than it is to port it to xbox.

I'd like to see a Rogotin skin for the warmage and sorc. I envision it as kobold runner with a nifty hat riding your shoulders as he lobs grenades at your barricades whilst smacking you in the back of the head.
