Game Freezes my entire system
my windows system rating is a 7.5
processor i7 2600k 3.4GHz
ram 16 GB
64 bit windows 7 operating system
game freezes on me after about 30mins of play time, I have had no issues with any of the other steam games I play. just freezes mid game and buzzes, I then have to shut off my computer by holding the power button.
steps taken to resolve issue:
1 updated my video card drivers ( 2x geforce 560ti)
2 updated physx
3 updated audio drivers (realtek)
4 verified files with steam
5 updated directx
restarted computer and tried to play game after each step same issue persists.
This could be from overheating the video card.
Is this happening on the same level every time? If so, there's possibly some corrupt art asset that's getting loaded and causing problems. A full reinstall could fix that. If it's happening in different places, though, it sounds like it's videocard related.
That sounds like a PSU/video card problem, like your power supply isn't getting enough power to the cards, what's your PSU?
