Endless Solo Record? (Windup)
Just curious what the legit record wave is for solo windup endless? I found a youtube video from Nananea with fryed egg and watched it to get an idea for a kill box and layout. I modified it to my liking using a few different traps and setting up an alternative supplemental killbox to try to keep going on my own. It ended up being pretty damn difficult not using any spore mushrooms (which I'm used to using) and having no partner to help as I don't know anyone else who plays this game yet. Anyway I died on wave 52.
Trap set I used: Anything with lvl up was at max lvl --
Crossbow (headshot, mana back for stunlock)
Floor Scorcher (walls, burn longer)
Tar (Move extra slow) Barricade (Extra stength)
Boom Barrel Dispenser (Retain boom barrel upgrades, Boom barrel upgrade->increased radius
Dwarf (Bleed)
Shock Zapper (Walls, Stun)
Arrow Wall (Ice, Ceiling)
Wall Blade (Bleed Damage)
Trap Reset Trinket (Passive Trap Cooldown Reduction)
My Death :(

Leader board the day I finished: (Top 7 do not look legit unless there's something crucial I'm missing I don't see how you could get 80x that score in similar amount of waves or last till wave 305).

Boom barrels, dwarves were invaluable, really wish I would have had another spot for manawell :( would have helped.
Were your dwarves even alive at the end? I just don't see them surviving the Cyclops Magi.
But I totally agree with the boom barrel dispenser. I tried that sucker on that map as well, putting 1 in each killbox with an arrow wall halfway offset to set them off, it worked wonders against, well, everything. LOL
@Luxo, sweet I' d love to hear any tips about your loadout as well luxo. I enjoy the endless mode qutie a bit :). I noticed the same thing I had 3 heavys start trying to tear down my baricade on that last wave. Combine that with an apparent bug where I had that armored ogre and earth lord become immune to stuns and it kinda sucked that that's how I died lol. I took care of the orcs on the barricade but then I couldn't stun the 2 that got through :(. I agree with you about being able to see an score breakdown they really should take care of that... they should also remove the blatent cheaters once a week or something like that.
@Budlyte, I'd lost 2 dwarves before my line finally broke. I only kept 4 up at a time and as they got low on health between rounds I sold them and rebuilt (same with barricades). Worked pretty well but I did have to go balls to the wall on Magi a couple times. If you hit them hard enough for a minute or two taking a few hits then duck out of line of site they will try to rush at you most of the time and ignore the dwarves. This brought them into my kill box where then they were easy picking. Most of the time I just tried to stunlock headshot them though. On a second note I was surprised at how well the boom barrels worked, the trap trinket really reduced their output time too. I think in honesty though the dwarves were doing just about as much dmg or more as everytime they hit the health on the monsters would drop considerably.
Question in general for people...are there two sets of leader boards? One for co-op and one for solo?
Yes there are Strife.
Quick question, did you set your dwarves so they couldn't see straight line the enemie? Or did you put them on the edge. If you did the former the Cyclops magi would not be able to hit them, while they would still throw bombs down in an arc.
I swear I hit respond to this already sorry about that. I put them on the back wall of my killbox. Magi were able to hit them but only if they ran up as far as the barricade blocking the rift (or about there). Made them easier to pickout. Skip to near the end of this video and you can see where I put them. Good watch in it's entirety too if you have 2 hours to burn and are bored :P. I enjoyed it and got some good ideas for myself for maps in general.
I took some screens of the defense I was using http://steamcommunity.com/id/Luxtm/screenshots/?tab=all&showdate=1&filter=app_201790
There's probaly room for a lot of improvements as I didn't even expect to reach wave 50 with this defense and most of it was just improvised as the waves kept dying.
The barricades seemed to soak up most of the damage from archers and magi. On a few occasions I intentionally jumped in front of a few magi bolts that would have otherwise reached the dwarves. The ice amulet made quick work of any gnolls that was coming for them as well.
Very niceman I love the layout. The zapper idea by the dwarves and rift is great especially if you have stun on it. I'll have to try it again one of these days, my fiance's back in town though now so I have less time, though I suppose that's a good thing.

I've manged to beat wave 62, the bigger mobs could take quite the beating even with headshots and in the cluster f* of it all the mobs tore down my barricades on the sides for no apparent reason. I am pretty sure I could have manged to go further if that hadn't occured.
As for the legitimacy of the first 7 people on windup, probably not. Would love to be able to view a more detailed score breakdown on the leaderboards. Most likely, looking at the leaderboards, the wave 85 by MistressRarity seems reasonable as I see comboing being harder to do the higher up you get and possibly having to rely on oneshot traps.
