Current State of the EPIC East vs. W ...
Hope you guys make a move soon. Today is already the end of the world; I don't want it to be the end of this team game too!
Please tell me this is a joke.
Trip maybe you should PM/email him.
Also - yes, it was a joke. I'm full of jokes.

Sorry all for the move delay - I'll try and avoid this in future.
BTW I am on top of this, aware that West moved 12 days ago. Planning to make a move by tomorrow at the latest.
East moved. Current state of the game: http://i.imgur.com/lxqKg.png
We did:
Deploy pally at B9
Move B9 pally to C8
C8 pally heals D8 engineer (to full hp)
Helm D8 engineer
D9 engineer bubbles bottom crystal
Tabby I'll see if I can get you all the photos from this match soon.
I haven't seen this game at all, so if it wound up being a really good game, and people have a picture record, maybe doing an analysis would be fun.
It is/was a good game. Very close throughout, not clear who had the advantage until recently (hint: it's not us).
Are the turns all posted somewhere?
No; will work on that.

All Quiet on the Western Front?
Turning them over one saw that they could not have suffered long; their posts had an expression of calm, as though almost glad the end had come.
Hey Aratribal, I am putting together all of the screen shots from our end. I am also compiling a spreadsheet which records the actions of both teams, and it notes whether a screen shot is available for that turn (in other words this is an attempt to help viewers understand what happened in between screen shots even though one is missing). It would be nice if you could provide the screen shots from your end, too. Will make this a much more usable product. Also, if you're interested, I can email you all the screen shots and also the spreadsheet and you can enter any details from your end. PM me if interested. What I can provide is going to be usable, but not as good as it could be since it's hard to tell what you have in your hand during a given turn, etc.
I, for one, will be interested in this. Please do post.
Thanks

Hey GG, unfortunately I only have a habdful of screens, and certainly not screens from every turn. I can send you those once I get to them - or you can view then on flickr, they are public - but that's all I got. However, I'm sure that someone who's been around for the entire game on the west front (hiruma, trip) will remember West's hands roughly, even if you post the screens from your end.
Unfortunately I'll be quitting HA for a little, and someone on the west team (hopefully Trip) will take over.
Sorry to hear that! I'm right there with you, though. This team game will likely be my FINAL ACT in the hero academy community. My swan song. (Even though I think we are going to lose...)
I have screen shots for almost every turn, and I know the actions of both teams for every turn. So all I'm looking for are a few specific turn screen shots. But if I can't get them from someone on team West, not a big deal. What I have is usable.

i think i might join that boat aswell actually :)

when the game is done we can give you access to west-forum aswell. you might find something if you search the whole thread :)
By my calculations, it's been over 12 days since our move... Anything developing on the West side? Besides impending swan songs? :)
East moved 13 days ago. You guys on top of this?
West took their turn 4 minutes ago. And BAM, SCREEN SHOT: http://i.imgur.com/94LDf.png
Man I'm fast.
They did:
Cleric heals A4 knight
Deploy knight at B1
B1 knight moves to B4 (2 AP)
D2 wizard moves to C2
You guys should try to finish before the next balance update. :)

It's like a snail race!
It is looking like East is going to resign this match. Looking ahead, there is no viable path to victory, considering the skill level of our opponents (we would need them to make a big mistake, which they will not make).
This match has lasted over 9 months. Is that a record? :P It would last much longer if we took this to its final end; if East were to play perfectly, we could, I think, force West to take pot shots at us with wizard/archer in a slow march to West victory. Having no ranged units, East cannot realistically get a crystal kill or TKO, so all we can do is make life difficult for West. There's some question as to whether West would be able to destroy the last crystal if we turtled our units around it, but I have a high level of confidence that West would be able to ensure a (slow) win though smart, safe usage of their wizard. I am also wary of the impending nerf to the paladin. Considering this, and that mental stamina for this match (and for some, hero academy in general!) is waning, I think it's a good idea to resign.
That being said, a match such as this deserves a worthy testament. By my estimation, there has never been a better played, or at least a more thought-out, match in the history of Hero Academy. Speaking just for team East, we have 680 posts about this game in the East forum, many of these posts being very long and detailed. There has been so much mental energy poured into this game; we need some record of this undertaking!
I have most of the screen shots saved to my PC, and I plan to share this file with Tabby so that he can create a blog replay. I am willing to share some commentary for East side - it is my hope that we can get some insight from a member of team West as well!
It was an amazing game, Team East -- props to all of your tacticians! I look forward to the play-by-play breakdown. =)
West's play was very innovative, making lemonade when (arguably) dealt lemmons.
My preliminary impression is that East got in trouble by deviating too much from the stereotypical Dwarven playbook in an effort to exploit West's seemingly poor start -- and that West dealt with East's early pressure with extreme inventiveness, proving that perhaps East had over-reached.
I'd love to see the play-by-play, but I am not sure the game will be a great teaching tool, inasmuch as it was rather irregular.

Aratribal?? You out there? Let's get that move in!
