Crash on load after one play - Yeti DLC
Hello! Sorry my first posting is going to be here, but I'm not sure what else I can do.
After downloading the Yeti DLC, I played once on the Weekly Challenge Mode. I quit directly out of game. Afterwards, I've found that I am unable to load the game...at all.
Steps done:
1.) I've done the "Validate Integrity of Game Cache" process. It's said that one file failed to validate and would be accquired. It then either downloads a REALLY small file (LESS THAN 1 byte?! Do you have a file that's 7 bits or something?) or it plain doesn't download anything (but still shows up in my download list.) This proves ineffective, as it does the same result.
2.) Rebooted steam and repeated the above step - same result.
3.) Rebooted computer, then tried step 1 again. - Same result.
4.) Fully redownloaded whole game and all dlcs - Again, same result.
5.) Searched various forums for this problem - It seems unique, actually.
At my wit's end, as I would like to enjoy the new content. >_< I'll be here monitoring this thread, so please let me know what is needed to help narrow this down. :)
Thanks!
O_O ....I just found the problem. Had a brainstorm from back in your Aug-Oct Thread that had the same issue. (Unable to load, had AppHangB1)
The only other change that I damn well made was changing my mouse from a dell mouse to a really generic mouse. All I did was unplug it, replaced with the dell mouse...and OMD2 loaded. O_O
Switched it back.... it did not.... O_O
.....Huh?!
While I didn't fully check the driver version that was loaded for either mouse, it appeared to be the same "HID-Compliant" driver for the mice. Only change, then, seems to be a specific piece of hardware...not sure how that is even possible. Will do more research.
Edit: Am confirming that there isn't any other drivers possible to use for this case. It seems to be specific to the mouse for me.
Did you uninstall the DELL mouse software and drivers when switching mice?
Thanks for letting us know. That's definitely strange. We'll see if it's something we can duplicate here.

No mouse software was installed during any mice switch. You know how Windows 7 detects USB plugged in devices, and then loads a driver for them?
In this case, that driver is for an HID-Compliant Mouse, Driver version 6.1.7600.16385 from Microsoft with a driver date of 06/21/2006.

Soon after posting this, I've tried a couple more things. First I tried deleting all files, then reestablishing them using "verify game cache"...again, no luck.
The error that comes up is an AppHangB1 error, with application version 1.0.0.348. Not sure if that's the proper version number or not.
