Converted units should be able to combo
When you can use it, the combo ability is actually a great feature and fun to use. But as had been discussed many times before, it's really hard to pull off. I understand that each converted unit has its own team's special ability, but balance-wise, I really don't see why they can't have both. Combos are so hard to pull off, they need all the help they can get. It'd definitely have made games I have played far more enjoyable, and it'd also make a TF2 or Dwarves matchup slightly less unbalanced (just imagine the ability to be able to combo up to nine units at once!). It just feels wrong that you have units as the Shaolin that can't use the Shaolins' special ability. Also, a combo potion is wasted on healing a converted unit. I really think that making this change would make the Shaolin much more enjoyable. There are more pressing balance issues to deal with, granted, but I just can't see why this wasn't included originally.
Well tbh if you've managed to get 2 grenadiers from your opponent, they're not exactly going to win anyway. And it wouldn't make sense to have converted units not be able to combo unless they use the combo potion. This would also create confusion as to whether the next attacking unit would create a X3 combo or no combo at all.
Shaolin needs to be stronger, but not by making the shadow better or converted units better. The shadow and unit conversion are already great. If you stole a unit, you are probably now winning. Winning more isn't an issue, but rather being able to survive up to a conversion opportunity. I'd rather see the shadow and conversions stay as-is and instead buff the resistances and damage output of the team as a whole so as to allow them to be on par with the other teams. A move 3 monk will also really help.
the shadow doesnt need a buff at all, more like a nerf then a buff :)
The way to improve the Shaolin is not to make them even more dependant on a single good unit.
I'm not suggesting this for balance reasons but for gameplay reasons. To balance the Shaolin a range 3 Monk or range 3 Taoist or one of the many other suggestions is the way to go. This is merely a suggestion to make the combos a little more useful, without (IMO) giving the Shaolin a massive buff.
Agreed converted units should not contribute to combo points
as for helping the shaolin a bit how about increasing the movement of windblade to 3
I agree they should combo, but I also like that we can equip converted Tribe/TF2 units with Shields and Helms, and that rage actvates for converted units. Nice touch, Robot ;)

I quite disagree the units should not also get the shaolin bonus to balance, two bombers = x2 on 9 units
But there potion should grant the 2x combo bonus to converted units I was very puzzled when it didn't and I tried this, it makes sense to me it should.
Challenge me on HA im always looking for a challenge...or not depending on your skill :) just message me to tell me your from the forums :)
