Co-op connection issues
I'll just start by saying this is probably not a bug, however I feel it's something that should be addressed since this game is more marketed towards the "Co-op" aspect of the game now.
When I'm playing Co-op endless with my friend, we get to a point where there's soo much going on in-game that the game begins to stall and say one of the players is having a connection issue, and waiting for them to catch up. Every time this happens, if 5 seconds pass it just auto ends the game and sends both of us back to the stage select screen. Neither of us get credit for the wave we got to, and neither of us get the skulls we earned up until that point. I've already done Co-op endless three times now, and have gotten no credit for any of them because the same thing happens. I'm honestly considering not playing Co-op endless again until I see some changes...
So two things I feel should be addressed:
First, there should be more than just a few seconds of leeway time for someone who's lagging to catch back up before the game ends. I would say at least 20-30 seconds would be a good amount of time that would allow most of your player base to not get kicked from games, and it's not too long where the other person is just stuck doing nothing. 5 seconds is just not enough time.
Second, if for some reason a person is not able to reconnect, instead of both players being sent straight to the stage select screen, it should automatically bring the rift points to zero and count as a game over. This way both players can at least get credit for what they've done by getting their scores on the leaderboards, and also allows them to get the skulls they earned in that match. If I get to wave 43 and then the game gets lagged out, I should at least be getting credit for that wave 43, and not having an empty score.

Yep we are having the same problem, its getting rather annoying. We've ran into a connection problem more often than not, so its really making us consider moving to another game until its fixed :/
Just earlier today we got to wave 70 and oh... no skulls and no leaderboard data. Tried again just now and on wave 30 or so, same thing happens.
This is a critical issue, they should really fix this asap.

I am having the same issue, where the connection level shows in red, and disconnects after certin amount of waves with no credit.

I just played 2 standard games on two different maps with a partner I have played with before. We both live close to each other and have excellent connections usually. Both times we got disconnected mid-game. First him and then me the second time. Not sure if he will play again after that because the last endless we did a few weeks ago ended in a crash as well.
None of us alt-tabbed anything, as that usually causes it. Nothing happened abnormally on both ends. Don't get what the problem could be.
We bumped up the disconnect time so that should help when things do get bad, and we are about to patch for a couple traps where we have made them less chatty (network-wise) than they were before. That particular patch should be soon here - after it comes out, please give it another go and see if it addresses the issue.
Why do you bother making a DLC instead of trying to fix this connection issue? Playing co-op in this game is what this game is about and if you can't do that properly, no one will want to play it. Peer-to-Peer is probably the issue here, this can probably be avoided if the devs host a server which ppl would connect to.
Been playing some co-op today and even though we both have a green connection, there's a lot of lag involved with the occasional "Disconnect or wait", which mostly results in us getting kicked to the campaign menu.
A few of those times we were going for high-scores and doing really good having seen a few 13x's and 14x's only to be kicked from the game on one of the final waves... I can tell you, it hurts deep within when you see that happen.
I'm not sure if it's a connection issue with us or steam or RE or whatever but co-op is unplayable for us at the moment.
Still no fix for the connection issues?
I haven't played since the update but looks like nothing has changed..
I believe a fix was put in for this yesterday. Please try again and let us know if it is working for you.
We patched for this issue around noon CST today - it should be back working for you folks. :)
the dlc-patch and another small one were installed yesterday, but still experiencing the disconnects.
actually it seems to be worse than before, now even the normal story-levels are hard to get through without disconnect!
any solutions?

Sorry to hear about the disconnects. Do these issues happen regardless of your trap loadout? Do you find that they happen regardless of who you connect to, or does it tend to happen with the samer person?
If you tend to use the same trap loadout on most levels, it would be helpful to know what you're using.
Lastly, it might be useful to make sure "push to talk" is set to "on".

i tried to solve the problem with steam repearing option: 1 file must be downloaded again, but this file size is 0byte

Me and Glenn are getting it seriously bad now, it's getting to the point we can't even finish a single level, 80%ish of the time were getting disconnected then kicked. Did i read somewhere in the patch you bumped it from 10 seconds to 15? Why can't you make it forever, just untill someone presses disconnect? That way it wont solve the problem, but it will atleast let us finish instead of getting on wave 12/12 on nightmare finale for then us to be kicked out.
Got dc'd on last level of story, first wave w/the flyers, ran up to the rifts and deployed some archers and that's when it happened.
Push to test is on, we're in the same room on LAN.
Trap loadout:
Shotgun
Wind belt
Void wall (one placed)
Tar (some placed)
Archers (plenty)
Fireball ring
Partner loadout:
charming staff
spike traps
bear traps
haymaker
This has happened to me 2 or 3 times in a row with the same person. Not with anybody else. We both have great connections with other games. Good computers. No problem playing with other people.
Same thing here, i have connexion issues with a friend, never did before DLC and now 4 days without playing cause we can't. Yesterday for once we could play then game crash wave 40 so... That's 2 very good ideas, more time to reconnect and get skulls for reached wave even when something happens.

Yeah but even if you solve the problem with connexions lost, it stills a good idea to save the current amount of skulls and score, cause even without this problem a steam/OMD2 bug, personnal computer, personnal connexion, anything that can break a game still can happen :)
For exemple i just played with a friend, and we saw a connexion lost error at wave 46 for like 1 or 2 seconds, cause of that we reached 50 then stopped to don't lose everything when we could have continue, with assurance of having the reward we should continue until any game crash.

Just wanted to add that we're experiencing the same problems - since the latest patch my friend and I are unable to finish an Endless game due to discnonnect issues, this happened several times in a row. My loadout was as follows:
Staff, Bladestaff, Push Trap, Swinging Mace, Coin Trinket, Autoballista.
My friend's was:
Blunderbuss, Ice Amulet, Fire Bracers, Tar Trap, Wall Spike Trap, Spore Mushrooms.

My friend and I brought the game today and are having constant network issues.
We play 10's of games on steam and from other sources and have never had any network issues?
Each level we play only lasts 1 wave tops and then we get the network issues warning appears.
We have tried playing with no traps at all, yet the same problem occurs.
This issue is very irritating and im disappointed that a game this long after release is still offering up rookie problems like these to its customers.
Please FIX IT!
This issue is without much of a doubt your side, we have been playing fine for a while having a few issues but it was bearable.
All of a sudden, it went to *** and every game we connected too had network issues within 10- 20 seconds, and the warning screen disappeared almost instantly reverting to another screen asking us to remake the game!

After a lot of tries on this connection issue, here is what I noticed :
1/ In steam, setting the max ping/minute to 250 in parameters\downloads makes the game run smoother in terms of connection

3/ Steam seems to update games while OMD2 is running making the connection to slow down (this happened to my partner this week-end)
4/ I got better connection performances while playing on 2 differents connections than on a single router (one connection for both of us) with my partner
Using points 1/ & 2/ & 4/ I was able to reach wave 50 (and more) after more than 60 hours of playing, I was almost crying of joy :D
I hope this will help resolving the problem.
I'm having this problem with multiple partners and with seemingly all trap loadouts. It gets so bad Endless is almost impossible to finish, but even regular Nightmare levels often disconnect before I can do anything. Especially after 1:00+ hour of play this is incredibly frustrating. This issue was brought to your attention months ago. I completely agree with Zudoack's suggestions. Couldn't you patch this the way he suggests as a temporary fix? It is almost impossible to enjoy the game now.
Has anyone tried n0n0th's suggestions? And can anyone confirm the Leatrix Latency Fix is trustworthy?

Hi.
Have bought Steam Copy of the game. Connection was lost constantly in Co-op.
In pure Anger i started looking for piracy alternatives.
With Tungel installed, registered and in the Orc's must die 2 Channel. (And co-op friend also in the same channel.)
But still in the bought Steam Copy of the game.
We had perfect co-op connection, 5 green dots the whole time playing.
