Can't play against a specific p ...

Hello.  I'm having a strange issue since the recent update.  There is one specific player that I am unable to complete a turn or start a new game against.
I can successfully chat with the player in the one active game that we had (I say had because I've resigned the game), but when I attempt to submit my turn, I get "Error. Failed to connect ot the server.  Please try again later".
I can also take turns in other games against other players.
Even after resigning the game with this player, if I try to start a new game with him, I get as far as selecting a team, then when I click to start the game, I get the same error.
