Battle of the Bulge launches with ex ...
With little fanfare and no apparent attention from Apple, Battle of the Bulge launched last night and I think that many folks here will really love the multiplayer.
There are only two scenarios, and by definition only two factions, but there is a great deal of variety of strategy and numerous victory conditions in the full scenario. The short intro scenario, Race to the Muse is great for multiplayer as it can be completed in under an hour if both players are active.
It is definitely not a replacement for HA, but it is a great change of pace to enjoy a true wargame that has the same online ease of play we wll love from HA.
One word or warning, It is very difficult for the Germans to win Race to the Muse, so there is a built in handicap for experienced players in selecting them. The full scenario is pretty balanced and with so many different ways to win it provides good options for play.
The studio is already working on volume II, El Alamein and I pray the game is successful enough to continue to see more battles added using the brilliant engine that was so perfectly implemented for touch based devices.
I am bigtroy68 on game center and I will happily accept any and all invites to play regardless of faction or scenario.
Hope to see some of you over in the Ardennes soon
Do you mean the iPad game, Shenandoah Studios?
I never get to use ours. We'll see what santa brings.
is it on the app store? i searched for it and didnt find it. maybe its ipad only?
It is iPad only.
It is iPad only.
^ lame.
iPhone screen is just too small for this game. I have looked at some screenshots and definitely understand their decision.

agreed :[
Just curious... In the app store, does the Mini count as an iPhone or iPad? And would this game be playable on that smaller screen?

I was asking myself that just today
As far as I understand, the mini can run all iPad apps. If there's ever such a thing as a retina-iPad-only app, the mini wouldn't be able to run it.
Mini plays the game just fine, the screen is zoomable but the iphone would be unusable. This game was designed from the ground up specifically for the iPad form factor, and thus works perfectly with it. If they had compromised the design to make it playble on the iphone it would have not been nearly the same game.
I have 35 games running currently, although I am loosing 28 of them, I am still loving the game a great deal.

Cheers for the heads up. I will have a look at it
Redexoskeleton. That's my name in game. Challenge me if you like (I am slightly above average) be sure to mention if it is a friendly or league game
