Archer and Wraith Stalemate?
The Wraith doesn't have move to get to the archer, attack and stomp (wraith needs 2 hits to kill). Archer doesn't have enough move to get to wraith to kill (3 hits to kill). Cleric cannot leave corner (get within 2 AP of wraith), or wraith will kill in 1 hit and retreat back to teleport square.
... actually, I just thought of how it's not a stalemate. =/
What do you think?
how much hp does the wraith have? If its below 1350hp your toast :)
It is, he said the archer needs 3 hits to KO.
My opponent found a flaw in my archer win play, so we're back to stalemate! :p
I thought that the cleric could cover the teleport tile while the archer advances, but it seems that the archer cannot position for a kill unless it is within killstomp range! :)
That's what you get for playing council rather than DE :)
This is hilarious and awesome. I can't find a move for either of you, first to not finish on the TP tile loses haha.
Looks like a draw to me. Council's only safe squares are D 1,2 and E 1-3. That's a pretty narrow range of options.
I believe the standard play in this situation is to move to the "2-week-per-move" mode and see who resigns first.
Zugzwang's a *****.
Turn it into a Crystal match. You can chip away 1800 per round on the big Crystal… then, uh, okay, then it gets a little harder.
Yeah, I'm out of ideas.
i played once.. with monk against warrior.. he had 600 left and well i had just 1k hp lol
I just recognized, when you lose the debuff on the unit doesn't that mean that the monk can debuff again and so has the advantage to ignore the defensive again?
it was mostly a stalemate.
I still havent found anything. Checked a couple of possible outcomes but still havent found anything. Either side is always lacking 1 square :)
Not seeing the problem here.
Mana Vial the wraith to buff its max HP to at least 1,370, pass turn. Next turn, move next to Archer (3AP) and kill it. CL will rez Archer (1AP), but cannot kill the Wraith, because the Archer would have to move out of melee range to deal full damage.
EDIT: Wait, that's only if the HP buff from Helm and Soulstone applies to the HP boost from feeding, which I'm not sure about. So I may be wrong here. Hrm.

Vial boosts are always based on stock HP, not modded/fed.
Actually, vials are a flat +50HP. =p nowhere near enough to get to 1350!

Ooops -- so true! Embarrassing.
He didnt' actually say how much HP the Wraith has. The Vial could conceivably put it over 1350 (although not necessarily likely).
3 hits to kill so that means the wraith could be anywhere (mathematically, not actually) from 901 to 1350 on the dot. But based on tabby's response (and iirc the wraith gets 150 per feeding?) I'd wager that it's at 1260 hp?
edit:
how many items does he have? nothing?
Wraith is fully buffed. 1230 hp + any soul harvest hp. Though if it ended up at this point I'm thinking maybe the wraith wasn't out to benefit from any. How has this game played out since this post tabby?
No harvests, so you're right on the money. :) I resigned soon after taking the screenshot to get on with my life. :p
