Age of Empires V
This is prob not the case, but I'm going to post it just to see what everyone's thoughts are.
Just assume that AOE 4 does get made, and it does have a world war theme. Then, what does that say about the artbook and the possability of a futuristic AOE 5?? It would move AOE 5 a lot higher up on the possablity list. Maybe RE doesnt want to anounce the publisher yet cause this game is still be a few years out, and it may be MGS. Game 1 we may see shortly.

A modern warfare theme wouldn't work. Games like Company of Heroes and World in Conflict have already filled in that role in the gaming community, and have proven that a game in the style of Age of Empires just couldn't possibly be set in a modern warfare environment.
i think a remake of aoe 2 and i dont think the games are in developmint i think thay are geting ideas frome the blogs

I'm more interested in the second game - because in my mind it's almost a certainty that the Age of Empires franchise will have another addition.
I would prefer the very original to be re-made but we'll see.

No but in all honesty I'm pretty sure James didn't include it because Robot will not be developing Halo Wars 2, or at least not right now. It's more-or-less up to 343 Industries.

added for my opinions... I never really liked Age of Mythology as much as AoE.
remake aoe1, aoe2 and aoe3. Make aeo4 and combine them to 1 game!

yeah, in my opinion AoM2 would be most awesome, but the AoE MMO is looking good!!
i hope they make an AoE IV as their second game, i tried AoE Online at the Gamescom and dont really like it, the graphics are puppet-like, not as an AoE should be. Also AoM2 or a remake of an old game would be good. I hope the wont put too much effort into AoE Online.
