Age Of Empires 4
Hello,
I registered for the purpose of this request and post. I didn't find a suitable forum to post in, so Off-Topic is best I guess. As a lifelong fan of the age of empires series, I have been quite saddened by the turn it has taken (the online cartoonish version). I don't know who owns the rights to what (yes Microsoft of coures on the series), but I would like to state that myself, as well as others do agree that a remake of Age of Kings II would be a massive success.
Nothing needs to be changed. Everything kept the same except for updated graphics and resolutions etc. It is the best RTS ever created and the community was amazing. In fact, the soundtrack is also amazing.
If the game is owned by rights etc, simply create the game with a different title, but keep it as an exact "Age of Empires II: Age of Kings" remake.
Have been waiting 10 years for this.... and this latest online version is totally a downer.... I truly hope the game goes back to its roots...

Someones probably already remade it really well, not officaly but still.
Ever heard of Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge... great RTS. There's a group of people making "Almost Perfect Yuris Revenge" it's got the stage where the have replaced almost all the sprites, blanced everything, got rid of the double up units and fillied in the gaps with better units with more variety. They game never stops becoming more amasing.
Some one must be doing the same thing for AOE 2 if it has half the community you say it does... the problem is finding the mod which is the most stable, balanced and used in multiplayer.
All I have to say is that I miss AoE 3... It was the greatest game ever for it's time.. It's still my favorite game of all time.

Never played AOE, but I loved (and love) AoM. Shame I can't play it anymore.
I would like a new AoE game, but what would be done with it? With Asian Dynastys, it pretty much caught up as far as possible to modern times.
I love this game, but I haven't played AOE4 yet.

AoE is a great game. I'm going to check this AoE4.
Microsoft owns the entire Age franchise, so any games, even remakes of old games, are entirely up to them.
