Personally I have no issues with making rounds shorter. Although living in a GMT+4 area, been finishing league games with opponents living in PST timezone (12 hours difference) in 2-3 days.

I think I'm ok with 7 day rounds. I do work third shift, so hopefully that doesn't slow my matches up too much. But I'm sure everyone would understand as long as we're making moves.

Very much too late! :) However, there seems to be a lot of tournaments popping up, so I'm sure a new one will start before long.

Why can't we use the tribe? (it's my team of choice)

I think it's because the Tribe hadn't been released yet when this tournament was underway... ;)

Vidguy has been dropped from the tournament, and his opponent Krono awarded a win for round 1. Vidguy had yet to issue a challenge to his opponent, and based on his posting activity history may simply not have logged in for two weeks and thus had no idea a tournament was happening.
A couple other players haven't made plays for over a day. I've notified them that they need to resume play immediately or they'll be dropped and their opponents awarded match wins for round 1.
I wanted to give people a chance to ease into the tourney mindset to compensate for the confusion and delay at the start of the tournament. To that effect, I made rounds take 10 days and have been giving warnings when players fail to complete the 3 move a day minimum. For round 2, my plan is for the remaining 32 players (who have demonstrated that they're active in both their matches and in these forums) to have 1 week to complete their matches, and players who fail to make 3 moves in a day will be immediately dropped. I'll be sending all 32 remaining round 2 players a private message advising them of the changes and the round 2 end date.
If anyone feels that - due to severe time difference or something else - 7 days isn't enough time to complete the round, sound off here and we can discuss it. For the most part things have been running really smoothly, and I'm excited to see who comes out on top!
