Saturday Morning Cartoon (Part 10)

I know, I know, we already wrapped up the Saturday Morning Cartoon theme. But just like Freakazoid, I'm unpredictable!
Freakazoid was a short lived cartoon around that came on between Earthworm Jim and Road Rovers! Now that was an awesome cartoon lineup! He couldn't fly so he would just raise his arms in the air and make swooshing sounds. This drawing isn't as goonish as the cartoon, but I tried to draw it from memory.

And, since it's Christmas, will you give us a clue about the game you're working on? :)
Man i was realy hoping to see what game this studios was making today sense it is Christmas.
Was really never a big fan of Freakazoid. Never interested me when I was little. Good art piece from drawing from memory.

Nice drawing. His face and skincolor reminds me of the bad guy in "Kim Possible".

I check this site daily so i just want to know if an announcement is coming any time soon and if checking like this is therefore worthwile :p

i hope Robot is looking to release some informations in the next month. I can't wait anymore: 10 months are gone and we have only two images about what they are working on.

Robot said "Look forward to some posts on MONSTERS sometime in February" . Ok, that's a good thing, but I'd like to see something concerning their game.
All of us Know they are working on the next Age of empires and this information it was confirmed by Sandy Petersen,( you can checking the message here: http://aoe3.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=st&fn=1&tn...).
Ex-Ensemble studios. So, Why should we wait for an announcement so long?

Freakazoid was nice but my personal CN favorites would be Cow And Chicken, The Ren And Stimpy Show, Johnny Bravo, I Am Weasel, Dexter's Lab...

Actually they are not working on a new AOE game. If you check the blogs you will find in one of them a Robot employee saying AOE belongs to Microsoft and whatever happens with it (future sequels) depends only on Microsoft. Robot is not owned by Microsoft and does not have any rights on the AOE series anymore. Robot is developing their own IP. They said that out loud.
So it isn't a new AOE.
I do hope it's a RTS in the AOE style... and a of course I sure hope it ain't some other completely different genre.
1)Can you share with us some of your preliminar ideas for Age IV?
a)There is a highly competent team working right now on what I believe to be the next installment in the Age series. It would be out of line for me to speculate in any way on what they are doing. No doubt when they reach an appropriate time, they will release it themselves on their website robotentertainment.com

Age of empires is the only game that suits me to RTS because it has a Good Ecnomy with settlers and a great Battles :)

@VlAD: Many times the developers don't say what exactly they are doing because they want to create the right hype around the game. RE has an agreement with Microsoft for supporting and releasing new Halo wars and Age of empires .
Well im sure RE will do a great work ;) il wait the time is needed for this great game and i love the way the Devs interact with the community in old ES style :) keep it coming :)

Sandyman is probably confused or doesn't understand, but Robot Entertainment is an LLC, or a private company, i.e. it is not owned by MS and therefore has no access to their IP as far as WE know.
It is possible that MS has signed off to let AoE 4 be developed by Robot Entertainment. I'm not versed enough in Business Law to know if that is possible, but I see no reason why it isn't.
However, I hope they haven't. My hope is that Robot Entertainment creates an entirely new IP with the historical flavor of the first two Age of Empires games with some new innovations.

It is very unlikely they will announce anything until March.
March - June is usually when companies announce their games, and then release the next year in Oct-Dec.
Anything going to happen soon? I rarely come on here now and I really want something to happen. It feels like I've been waiting for years now...New game announcement please!

Guys something is going to happen because Robot is looking for a Community Manager ;) and... Robot is searching for an experienced Web Graphics Artist to design our new game website experiences.

It is a gaming site.
Maybe by a game that everyone wants they reffer to a RTS in AOE style and by a game that not anyone expects they reffer to a game that is not AOE but a new IP.
