Hero Academy For Beginners
We want to give a huge thanks to everyone out there who’s been playing Hero Academy since launch, and a hearty welcome to those of you who are just picking the game up on your iOS devices (Android is coming!) If you’re just jumping into Hero Academy and are trying to get your bearings, there are a ton of resources available to get you started. To get off on the right foot, be sure to check out the training area of the App itself for some very helpful tips and guides about how to play as each race. Our First Fan Site!
Last Thursday marked the opening of Robot’s very first proper fan site – RobotEntertainmentFans.com. While we’ve got a fantastic and growing community here on our forums, be sure to check out REF for tons of great original material like OMD! video walkthroughs and podcasts. Here’s what the site’s all about in their own words:
Robot Entertainment Fans is a brand new website built by us, the fans of the legendary indie video game studio, Robot Entertainment. Whether you're a fan of the studio due to its pedigree developers from Ensemble Studios or if you're a fan of Orcs Must Die or Hero Academy, you'll find yourself at home here!
Be on the look out for fantastic competitions, interviews and community events! Plus a whole bunch of useful news and speculative articles from the fan base. Not only that, we even have our resident radio reporter RadioKenny bringing us regular updates from the studio! Why not hit us up on iTunes?
They’re looking for contributors, so if you’re big on creating gameplay walkthroughs, videos, or write-ups, be sure to check out the site and get involved!
New Community Moderators
Things are getting busy around the Robot Forums now that we’ve got two games released, and it’s only going to get busier in the near future. We’ve enlisted the help of some of our community members to help keep the place clean. DeanParkr and Kenny have both been christened as Community Moderators. Their new role on the Robot forums is to help you out. Look for Dean and Kenny to be all over the boards helping members find answers to their questions, patrolling for spambots, and keeping everyone civil and orderly. Please congratulate them on their new roles when you see them online, and afford them the same respect that you would any member of the Robot staff. Welcome aboard, Kenny and Dean!
2 Million Points Worth of Unhappy Orcs
If you had asked me in December if I thought anyone would be able to legitimately get a 2MM score on any Orcs Must Die! level, I’d have said you were crazy. But as they are prone to do, our awesome community shattered my expectations. Just a couple of weeks ago, the one million mark was surpassed, and right on its heels we have what appears to be confirmation of two players breaking the two-million-point mark.

As you can see in the screenshot above, it may not be the best solution for five-skulling a level, but it’ll certainly put you on top of the leaderboards for Reverse Tower.

:)
