GamesCom - Day Two

Another day of GamesCom is almost on the books. Today was considered by many to be the proper first day of the show. Why? Because today was the first time that the general public was let onto the show floor. As you can see in the image above, there was no shortage of general public waiting to get their hands on the hundreds of games inside. And those are just the ones from the North Entrance, near our booth.
It was another great day for Age of Empires Online. The booth has been packed most of the day, with players of all ages lining up at the booth for demonstrations and their change to get their hands directly on the game. During his breaks, Jerome would come to visit us at the booth, and he had good things to report, as well. More of the press, including several very Age-savvy German reporters has been extremely excited to see the return of Age of Empires.

Today was also the first day of the on-stage demonstrations for Age of Empires Online. Twice a day through the end of the show, there will be demonstrations on the giant screen at the Microsoft booth, highlighting several of the new features in the game. What's that you say? You can't make it to Cologne for a demonstration? No problem! I recorded the first stage demo from today and have posted it to our YouTube page. I've also embedded both parts below for your viewing pleasure. Since the audience is largely German-speaking, the demo is also in German. I'm sure some of the German-speaking members of our dedicated Age community will have no problem translating it, though.

Lastly, I also wanted to remind you to keep following us on Twitter and Facebook. Today I uploaded another 65 photos to our Facebook photo album. I'm also giving away one of those awesome Age of Empires Online laptop covers via Twitter. How can you win it? Post a message on Twitter (make sure you @ reply to @RobotEnt) telling us your favorite Age of Empires memory. At the end of the show, I'll pick a random winner from those who've sent us their Age memories. You'll be contacted by direct message if you win, so be sure you're following us so that we can message you. It's that easy.
