Solium Infernum, by Cryptic Comet, is another turn based strategy game that we’re running at the moment. It’s our first game of it so everyone is just learning it now. The story to the game goes something like you’re a powerful demon in Hell and there’s a power vacuum and you have to defeat the other powerful demons to be crowned the new ruler of Hell. Its hex based, you only get a few Actions per turn (and EVERYTHING costs an Action). There’s plenty of diplomacy in the game, and a little bit of combat. Round here at the Robot Factory, we like to keep our gears turning over lunch breaks and after our daily work is completed by playing some games. Some people like to run a quick heroic in World of Warcraft, or join up with their pod mates and kill each other in Battlefield 2. Still others jump in their mining barges and harvest some Crokite in Eve-Online. I have recently gotten hooked on Forza Motorsports 3. Our friends at Turn 10 & Microsoft Game Studios have really hit a homerun with the sequel to my favorite racing sim on the 360. I was pretty addicted to FM2, and painted a bunch of cars, so when I saw how much they’ve expanded and improved Forza Motorsports3 to suit decal painters, I was instantly drawn in.
