When 'Clash of the Titans' was picked as the theme for our first post I started off with some quick sketches. This is the basic process I went through working up to the final image. I wanted to try working in a different style then I am used to and I didn’t want to be too closely tied to the movie. Soon after the first post on Art-Bot Central, the art department thought it would be a good idea to have some themes to help focus some content so we could post on a more regular basis. Bart Tiongson (who did the previous post on A.B.C.), came up with the idea for our 'Clash of the Titans' theme. Coming up with these challenges is nothing new for Bart since he helps out as a forum moderator at CGHub where they have a regular Drawing Jam thread with a wide variety of different subject matters. Hi, I’m Rob “Xemu” Fermier, the lead Code-Bot (ie, programmer) on one of our game projects here at Robot. While a lot of my day-to-day job involves actually writing code, fixing bugs, and the like, the most important responsibility I have is just fostering communication – both within the programmers on the project but also among the various people on the team and in the company as a whole. There are a million reasons why good communications are important, but one of the most basic is that we want to make sure we are all headed in the same direction in our day-to-day tasks. READ MORE
Joe Gillum sits directly across from me in the blue pod. He’s an easy-going guy and a talented designer, and he’s been my friend for over seven years. But what he said to me on that particular Monday morning sent a cold shiver down my spine.

The pictures of the finished Lego sign are really the star of this episode. As such, I’ll do my best not to bore you with too many words. Conveniently, as any of my fellow Robots can attest, I’m well known for my brevity:)
Anyhow, after two cautious drives into work, both halves of the sign made it to the office without issue. They spent a couple of days on the table in the Biergarten. They look somehow ominous in this picture.
