Monster Theme Part 4

When I was around 9 or 10, my dad and I used to watch this show called, "Tales From The Darkside" There was an episode that completely terrified me called "Inside the Closet". It was about an old professor who rented a room out of his house to college kids. Little did these students know, that they would become food for his 3 year old, re-animated daughter. At the end of the episode, the poor occupant of the room unlocks a small closet to find a freakish goblin looking creature that then kills her and I assume, devours her. The episode was directed by Tom Savini, a legendary FX artist also responsible for designing the little goblin, which he named, "Lizzie", so I thought it would be fun to give the girl an update. I found some screens online (which do not look nearly as freakish as I remember) and began to sketch ideas for how she might look.

At one point during the episode, the student unlocks the closet and finds little dresses and shoes so I thought it would be cool to have her wearing a dirty dress. I wanted to keep a lot of the things that Tom had in his original like the red eyes, pale skin and webbed toes and fingers.

I wanted the skin to have a scar tissue quality to it and sort of a wet, slimey look.

Once all the skin and cloth was painted, I was done!

I hope you guys like my version of "Lizzie". There's more monster madness to come, so stay tuned!

I think that robot entertainment is taking long to announce so that they can release game shortly after announcement when everybody will be talking about it. However, I think for publicity robot should release one very enigmatic screenshot of the game that will make it almost impossible to guess what its about but that will have everybody on the net talking about it and giving random guesses, and keep on releasing such screenies until announcement, to build up even more popularity for game.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. Someone who has years of political science studies under their belt isn't necessarily a good politician. You have to remain open to ideas, and know how to give people what they want.

Yeah Rhompus is right but people are just impatient. If I were RE I'd announce the game today and everyone would think its a joke due to the fact that its April Fools and game studios are known to do that. But then it'd just be the actual game being made.

So... I know you all at Robot Entertainment have been hearing this a lot lately, but... AoE1 remake? I mean like AoE1, with the civs, units, maps, even sounds&music and everything, but with updated graphics and a return to the classic AoE campaign style. But with even more historical campaigns. Maybe? Yes? :D Just wanted to throw that out there for inspiration. ;)And... erm... interesting concept art you got there... O_O lol

I love it, so many people on this site are yearning for an AoE 1 remake.

I hope Robot considers it sometime along their development path. ;)

I think what allures me most to the AoE remake is the fact that it was so atmospheric--even though the graphics were sprites, the resolution was very small, the gameplay was arguably not as deep as Civilization's, it just didn't matter. You really got the feeling of advancing through time and building something.

I suppose Robot could explore mixing more Empire Building elements into an AoE remake, like being forced to sit down and build a city or cities before launching an attack. It works for Sins of a Solar Empire, and that sold a million copies. Of course, an AoE associated game would sell a lot more a lot more rapidly, so I think it's a win win for fans and developers.

just my .02 though.
